Well, when Forza and other applications of games are out, the Need For Speed better look like them and even better. I just hope they don't take it too seriously on the handling and how hard the game is. Because I have the last one and I never was able to beat it. It's toooo hard which takes the pleasure out of the game.
Looks like another failure in the NFS series. It really is a shame. I remember when the first version came out, I'd be on my 486 DX 66MHz, playing all evening long. The first four or five iterations had something very original to that game. They had proper cars with the gameplay and the graphics being as realistic as possible. Then they started going into the whole import car scene. Now I had really high hope for this as I always wanted a GranTurismo for a PC. I myself drive a Supra and an MR2 so I love imports. But in the end it ended up being a game that tailors to little kids who think stripes make cars go fast. And once again it looks like they are coming out with something like that. Instead of the realism that is the selling point of Forza, original NFS series, and GT series, they have the hot wheels image.
I loved how the old NFS (don't remember which one) let you select an in car view where you actually saw the interior of the car! The steering wheel moved and everything! Fond memories...
I agree. The last good one in my opinion was Porsche Unleashed. Hot Pursuit 2 was the beginning of the end.
