Well, because I know that diablos had 2 stage paint which is pretty much what modern cars have. Just dont know whether the ct was old enough when single stage was still popular....

No docs, but your car went via Achilli Motors for Manfred Lang and Manfred is still around and I will contact him to dust off the old photo album.

    Stand by.

    Very Best,

No dreaming.... Manfred Lang is still alive & well in Germany and he is a freind of a freind. I think he may have everything. BTW, I also think nothing touches Bravo wheels in gold. Just get the painter to sprinkle some real gold-flake in the paint (like I did with my Miura SV) so you can say: "There's real gold in them thar wheels y'know...." LOL. Ah, youve gotta have fun with this car hobby thing.

Oh that would be SUPER !!

Do you want to borrow the keys for a ride ? lol. ...After the shocks are replaced and I mount the new rubber.

I have the link, (Pantera Parts Connection). - The owner heat treats the magnesium wheels to perfection.

I was discussing this with a couple of "brokers" about six months ago, does the RHD on the lp400 help or hurt its value?

It can't be a plus unless you are somewhere like England, Japan or Australia

I would say that these days with global markets a RHD car has serious limitations and with that in mind I know collectors in the few countries that still drive on the other side of the road that will not buy them. With less than a handful of countries where its disposition is approprate, it is worth siginificantly less than a LHD car.

Now, if the new owner wishes a Countach LP400 for the specific purpose of delivering the mail in the USA, that would be another story :)

That is interesting. Almost all RHD countries, have very hi standards of living. It is not like there is a small market of enthusiasts, who would be happy to have a RHD car, as their first choice. There are plenty of people, who need a RHD car.

A typical RHD Countach in the UK, is priced at the same levels, as the rest of Europe. I have not looked at the other markets.

I am not sure as of now...but I recall back in the 80's you could not import a car OTHER than RHD into Australia for more than 6 months..is this still the case...what about UK, CAN you bring a LHD car there...title and keep it there...?

    Ralph,

There are only 3 people in England looking for an LP400 (hypothetically: its a small number is my point). The scene is changing and many of them like to journey with the car to Italy and Germany and so forth and I have been told personally by English Countach prospects in the last few weeks: "Nope, Im looking for a LHD as I can use it on the Continent which also has International marketability if I come to sell". RHD Countach prices are in fact a little less than those being traded on the Continent in fact. A LHD has far more global appeal is my point and is therefore more valuable as more people overall are looking for a LHD car.
