You ferrari guys would look like target practice at any dragstrip. But at the roadcourse diffrent story you guys will be the most feared unless someone showsup in a lambo.
Yup. Even C6 'vettes need help in the interior department. The GTO on the other hand had one of the nicest interiors to grace a GM showroom in a long time. GM in the states could and should take some lessons from the land of Oz.
More like taking a weapon you built yourself out to the battle field. I would to but in some cases i wouldn't want to pay retail for the orginal even if i had the money up front. Othercases i just want something diffrent from the avareage camaro or T/A unless its a Turbo TransAm.
I've always been amused by drag race guys who clown exotics for not being so quick in the quarter. You say "That's not what it's made for" and they continue to talk out their ass. You challenge them to a road course race and the first thing out of their mouth is "That's not what it's made for!" Irony at its finest.
Ever seen that infamous video of a F50, a Lambo and a NSX on a track? F50 wins handsomely, Lambo has a hard time against the NSX and beats it only by a whisker for 2nd.
Purpose built drag car, then it does not matter what it really looks like. Not sure about the HP. Could be big numbers from that little donk?
Well regardless the NSX didn't get the job done. Also I believe any video or racing in general from Japan has alittle biaist or perhaps "Riged" for the Jap cars to look like a challenge up against the worlds finest but in realitly a stock Supra or NSX will have a tough time against a stock TransAm.
Look at the people who drag race, not many of them know the Supercars times at the N-ring or what they've done at lemans. There whole thing is drive straight and anyone can do that. Now Ferraris and Lambos are indeed built not only for the roadcourse but also for the strip like it or not. Why else would the new 599 be running close to 11.2 in the 1/4? its obovius Ferrari doesn't want there newest front engined car to lose to a Z06 or SRT-10 at the strip. Lambos Murcielago SL pretty much the same deal. ultimately its gonna depend on the driver.
Agreed on the bias thing. Don't agree on "not getting the job done": That tape sparked countless debates over the mightyness of a Lambo. The Lambo struggles so pathetically against the NSX, that it barely doesn't matter whether it eventually wins. If it had done the job, those discussions and explanations wouldn't be necessary.
But what really matter most, the fact that it beat it straightup? or the fact that it almost won?. Like the old saying goes, it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning.
