My car is not for sale....yet I have had several offers on it from friends/clients that have seen it, as high as US$200K. I am keeping it...but would like to know if there are any other 'cherries' out there I can offer about to these guys. They are wanting show winners with strong mechanicals. Link away.....Euro or US cars. Yes the market is strong.

I have also had several offers for my car, mostly at concours, but a couple time just off the street.

Likewise, mine is not for sale, but.... if someone offered me crazy money, I would be severly tempted.

Turned down north of $140K for it a couple months ago.

Stuart's Dino nailed 180k at auction and has already been flipped out of the dealership. It won plat at Concorso Italiano and is amazing.

There is a thread around here for Keels and Wheels auctions check it out there

This particular guy really wants my car and would go to US$210K if I asked him. But I'm not a seller. I'm sure at some point in the future when the cars are worth half again, I will have a good laugh about this, but for the meantime I am enjoying it too much.

If anyone knows of other great cars, let me know so I can pass the info along.

I'm at the Ferrari event up in Mont Tremblant, and I'm sorry -- all the big F cars are really nice and all, but give me a Dino any day (of course, that's why I bought one!). Given the prices of 250s, 275s....etc etc etc, the Dino is not overpriced at all.

There is a Red/black USA version 73 GTS in Seattle that periodically participates in Club events and is in fantastic condition with all accessories (books, tools, jack, etc).

The owner has many cars in his collection and less than 5k miles ago this Dino had a "no expense spared" engine, transaxle, brake, rubber, etc rebuild/reurbishment by one of the most reputable shops in the PNW. The documented receipts claim to have exceeded $30k.
On a recent club drive (photos here http://beta.snapgenie.com/TR3H4PP5) he and his wife told me they have found a 12 cylinder Ferrari they want to buy but have exceeded their garage and storage facility space, so are considering selling the Dino. I asked him what he felt they are priced at (I think it is an easy $175k car) and my personal opinion is that the owner has been too busy to be aware of what levels the prices have escalated to.

I'm a relative newbie and have been deliberately avoiding the Dino threads, as when you want something that bad, it can hurt to peek inside the box...

When I was 7 (decades ago....) my uncle used to come pick me up in his Dino 246 and well, you know what I mean.

He still has his last time I spoke to him, 7000 miles, red, a/c garaged. Good to see what they are really worth, but i wish it was not until I'd bought mine....

    Enjoy them all.

    regards,
