Lots of nice cars, but save for the muscle cars, it looks like someone with a bunch of money went on a buying spree. Such a lack of creativity, but to each their own.

Nice cars, but too many modern cars imho. May I ask what the owner is doing for a living?

In the 4th picture down, why does he have a kitchen appliance beside a Lamborghini? :)

Anyone set up their own 4-post car lift? I was wondering what the weight was for the largest component? Can one person do the set up, or does it take two muscular types?

    Thanks...

I just bought one from the folks at www.carlift.ca. (but have not yet installed it). Their site says it usually takes 2 persons an afternoon (3-4 hours) to set it up. This particular unit has a 3 HP motor and weighs 8000lbs. Measurement's for calculating height on the site. I have attached a link to the pdf set up instructions: http://www.carlift.ca/setup.pdf

    cheers,

    Doc.

I like the looks of that lift, can I ask what it cost. Let us know how you like it after you have it installed. Does it weigh 8000 pounds or is the capacity 8000 pounds?

The one I am looking at is very similar and the shipping weight is about 1700 lbs. It looks like two average people can set the thing up. Just wondering if the the heaviest component weighed 200 lbs or more. This would be for getting the thing home and in the garage before setting it up.

I'll bet you have to unpack it in the delivery truck or locate a small fork lift

my mistake - capacity is 8000 - it weighs 1570 (shipping weight). I believe the heaviest piece weights approx. 160 lbs.

cost me 2900 Cdn plus shipping.

Nice selection of cars, I even see a pair of Shelby's in the back, 1967 & 1969,

Does he need a guy to come and dust the cars and check the batteries?
    I mop floors too
