I have seen some pictures of 348 that spit fire... best pictures is this forum members car...

Would a sports exhuast with test pipes cause the car to throw a flame in certin situations?

I think it's "rich overrun" in which unburned fuel vapors in the exhaust are ignited. Very cool look! Andy's car truly is a "fire-breathing dragon"

    Remove your catalytic convertors.

Oh yeah, and tune your system to run extremely rich :)

    Your bumper will look like a - s - s.

Watch your gas mileage go WAY down, too.

Last time I saw this was on a 348 turbo with an extremely rich F/A setting. Every shift saw flames.

Now don't quote me, but when i was a child (if I can remember that far back) one of my uncle's F's, the Dino, would often not start but woudl also sometiimes shoot flames out of the exhaust?

Obviously pre cat days... Any comments or was I imagining greater dragonesque powers in my single digit youth....

Andy's car throws amazingly large flames, but my Lotus did that too. It was a decat and modded with an added supercharger. The reason was rich running most likely combined with sports exhuast and decat.

I certainly had soot in and around the exhausts. Also on the rear diffuser under the exhausts.

Andy, do you get sooty deposits?

    Looks amazing though!
