Difference of 355 spider and a 355 spider F1

What is the difference of 355 spider and a 355 spider F1?

 

I'll bite.


The 355 F1 is referring to it's F1 transmission- paddle shifters attached to the steering wheel; the right side shifts up a gear, the left down. There is a clutch in the car, however, it is controlled electronically.

 

The difference???................ the F355 spider is better !!! It has a 'manual' 6-speed !!!

 

Gays like the 'manual' stick because they know where to put it.

Men like the F1 because nothing is in the way of their girls to taking care of business.

 

Gays like the 'Manual' because they like a long hard stick with a nob in their hand.

Men like the F1 because they know what to do with two paddles.

 

...and real men would know exactly how to work those paddles to make the "engine" sing!

 

As to the sexual analogies, wouldn't the paddle guys be the equivalent of castrated males?

These beautiful Fcars are often referred to as "she" and "her".

So if I already have a "stick" of my own why would I want to touch and feel another "stick" while driving. Besides, I'd rather flip those paddles to make "her" purr & sing. There. Hahaha.

Well from what I understand about the paddle guys...... they like paddles so they can put their otherwise clutch leg behind their ear !!!

 

If by 'clutch' leg, you mean "third leg"... at least ours could reach behind our ears.

If by 'clutch' leg you mean "brake leg"... I guess that's what you'd tell M.S. too?

I'm also pretty sure the 355 was Ferrari's first foray into F1-style shifting in a road car. If you're thinking of buying one, you should definitely drive it first and learn about the costs involved.

The six speed seems like a sweet gearbox, although I've only been a passenger in a six-speed 355 - didn't get to drive.

 

I would have never related a classic Ferrari gated shifter with homosexuality. To each his own I guess....

Kenny is correct Lorne. The F1 system can have its issues though. Sometimes in the form of faulty relays, low fluid level and the pump can sometimes fail. Cheapest F1 pump is around $3K!! Big dollars!! You also have to be careful reversing uphill with an F1 system. The F1 computer has trouble modulating this and can/will eventually fry the clutch. So you have to be careful where you park or if your driveway is steep and it requires you need to reverse uphill ect...... The reverse gear selector is a little t-bar in the centre console. Reverse gear cannot be selected from the paddles on the steering wheel. Hope all this does not put you off buying an F1 car. As many owners on here can attest, it really is a great system. You may buy a F355 and never look back to stick shifting ever again.
