Yes, another one of these threads, but give me a little credit, I'm still looking for my first FCar. :)

The car is a 6 speed, 9K miles, 3 owner and belt service completed yesterday! by authorized dealer!

I've seen a few Red/Tan ones at $90K +/- but this one ids an off color (better IMHO) and has a tubi, challenge grill, new tires, and alloy pedal set installed.

    Any opinions are welcome.

What color? Grigio, Black, White--Can make a difference in price.. Unless it is some crazy one off color It would say the car is worth around $93K or so....with what you have described--sounds nice..

    Its at FoDenver...

    http://www.ferrariofdenver.com/inventory_detail.cfm?id=828

99 Fiorano Red/Natural Spider, 8600 miles, Tubi, Challange Real Grill, Pedals, FoD is doing the MAJOR this week (complete today?) new tires.

Asking $102K, I know.... I know.... seems on the high side, but what do you all think.

I'm going to look at it in person Friday or Saturday.

PS Dave Helms said don't bring my checkbook as I'll buy it on the spot, hence why I was hesitant to post it. An FChatter posted that his father traded/sold it to FOD.

FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude buy it now!!! Honestly, that is one of the best looking 355's I have seen. The interior is off the hook--fantastic color combo!!Their asking price is right on schedule with a Ferrari dealer..But remember that is a ASKING price...Go wheel and deal with them. For the market value of the car and what they are asking--I believe you could come to some mutual price!!!

Its knock-out gorgeous to me too. Heck, I can't even sleep for the past few days trying to put this deal together in my head. Its very tight budget wise, but its doable.

So you think thier might be a little room for negotiation even if I offer a trade for part of the deal? (Just posted that question in general section)

Dave Helms is a smart man!

$102K isn't stupidly high, but make sure you get a nice trade-in allowance on the Boxster. The best way is always to sell your current car before buying the new one, but if you negotiate the spread you'll do OK. You are paying a premium for a properly serviced, high-end car. That's fine.

I think FoD is pretty keen on creating new Ferrari owners, so you can negotiate a bit.

The other thing I like is that, based on a friend's experience with his F355B, FoD will take care of you after the sale if something comes up (he had an oil leak a week after the major - FoD disassembled the car and put it right on their dime.)

I know it's been reposted ad infinitum, but even with a great car like this one you need $10K+ in reserve for stuff that will happen. Really!

I think the color is 'Fiorano' -- not the special model.

Yeah, I'll be very tight on this if I buy it, I'll have NO reserve $ on hand (got good credit though :) and all my CCards are clear).

YES!!! JUST TO CLARIFY.... the COLOR is Fiorano Red! It is NOT (unfortunatley) one of the 104 speciale fiorano (sp?) models.

I was so hoping is was, would be an added bonus, but its not.

Beautiful car. I would however ask them to replace that steering wheel with a black one. If they don't and you are looking for one, I have a black challenge wheel (non airbag) that I might consider selling. PM me.

    Oh :(

Yeah that would be a killer deal!!! :)
True..... but being so rare with sub 10k miles, it would be mentally difficult to put miles on it. I wish I could afford to not
put miles on my F355. I would not be able to justify tieing up good money if I could not enjoy it :).

Wow, beautiful color on a 355. I'm sure it's worth every penny of their asking price.

    But wait a minute...

    NO RESERVE $...??

No, I wouldn't advise you to jump into a 355 without any reserve $ for repairs/maintenance. Maybe look into a 97 or earlier car and have some $ left for unexpected repairs or scheduled maintenance bills. I wouldn't put ALL my money into purchasing the car itself....but it's just me of course.

    Good luck deciding.

I remember doing the PDI work to that car when it was first delivered to FoD. Pictures in no way can do it justice, one of the classiest color combos I have ever seen on a 355.
Natural dash is too light and reflects a good deal on the windscreen but that can be covered up while driving.
I have never been able to figure out why that color doesnt photograph well but in person it is incredible.
James, are you really trading the Panzer and moving into the Ferrari fold? From a Ser. 1 GT4 to the cream of the crop 355, you have surely covered the gammet when it comes to researching the Marque!
Bring a sharp stick and go poke to Derek, compliment him on his wife (deserved, he married up++!), anything required to put the deal together and pull the trigger.
Life is too short to drive a Panzer every day.

I'm at work, busy, making this quick.

I got a quick look at the car at lunch today, was discussing the situation with the salesman, was lucky enough to talk to one of the service guys too. The car has not been detailed yet, and had a small dent in the front quarterpanel by the door, like something got jammed there. They are having the bodyshop repaint the panel. More later.

I was not able to drive the car, was on my MCycle with appropriate gear (MCycle boots ARE required).

It will be at the body shop for about a week, but I will get back with the salesman tomorrow to give a deposit if I choose to. I have more questions and comments for the FChatters so I'll post when I can.

I have to say, it is a beautiful car in real life, its not as easy to capture it in pictures. It is a metallic paint, and the interior is just a shade darker than the pictures show.

Seems to be a straight up car. Does not appear to have any funny stuff, but I haven't looked at the records, etc.

    More questions/commnents coming soon.
