No wonder for the squadron of them :) Lucky I didn't buy your GS, just found out that white is NOT suitable for me recently & she also mentioned no red or I'd get accident prone, a little truth there....

    Hello what are you brewing?

Andy said they're talking to Hummer. The H3 should be good for our roads & carparks. Don't know when will this happen.

"Derived from the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups, the H3 shares those trucks' body-on-frame construction; double-A-arm and torsion-bar front and leaf-spring rear suspension systems; and 220-hp, 3.5-liter DOHC 20-valve all-aluminum inline five-cylinder Vortec engine (the only engine offered).

At 186.7 inches long, the H3 is 4.9 inches shorter than a GMC Envoy; its 111.9-inch wheelbase is only 1.1 inches shorter than that mid-size SUV's. Compared with the H2, the H3 is 16.8 inches less lengthy overall and rides on a wheelbase that is 10.9 inches shorter. The slab-sided H3 may superficially resemble the old slab-sided 1984-to-2001 Jeep Cherokee, but it's 19.2 inches longer. And although GM is still paring down the H3's heft, it weighs well over two tons. This is a smaller Hummer, but it's not small.

The H3's most important components on the Rubicon were 33-inch-tall LT285/75R-16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires, part of the ZM6 Off-Road Adventure package carried by all five vehicles (base H3s will get 31-inch-tall P265/75R-16 Goodyears); the electronically controlled dual-range transfer case; and the electronically engaged locking rear differential. As was incessantly made clear to the engineers on hand, a locking front diff would also be a boon for rock crawlers, but they'll have to learn to work with the traction-control system instead."

I think the driver needs a Class 4 license? I have it on my green card :D :D

I rented the H3 last December.
Let me tell you... it may look agressive...but its was a very poor/bad experience!! (can you sense the emotion in my voice)
Its cabin is small. There is hardly any boot space. I couldn't put two sets of golf clubs in properly. Even my Hyundai Santa Fe had bigger boot space. The rear passangers seating position is very poor. The passengers legs are proped up , not parallel to the ground, knees are pointing upwards. Engine is very rough. Finishing is very american i.e. poorly appointed and plasticky.
This SUV cannot make it!!! And I am speaking from experience.

I returned the car after 1 day.

No kidding! They made such a big tank & it can't even fit adults on the back bench let alone golf bags? Thought SUVs are supposed to swallow everything you throw @ em.

You better tell Mel before it's too late :D

nope, same garage. long story. probably owe mike an explanation as well. tell you when we next meet. btw, our mutual friend wants to know when you are free for lunch. i suggested the middle of next week. let me know, thanks.

i see you discovered that rara and i swapped cars. have to say that i am now even more convinced that i wll not jump in that direction. quite a shame because i thot it would have been quite cool to have an 8-cylinder, a 10-cylinder and a 12-cylinder; respectively german, italian and english.

then you are not brewing. you are just planting your coffee beans!

simple question lung: m5 or qp? or go off budget with the flying spur? would like your view. i need to replace the cat but it would be a temporary fix until the rapide shows up (2 years at the earliest, probably 3).

Oh NO, did the 2 weeks term materialise? :( that's a shame, made you all worked up.

Tell our friend I'm fine but before Friday though. Any place cosy near your office? I'll walk over.

Yeah, had lunch with Rara few days ago. On the Italian 10 cylinder thing, get an 06 later model & you'd be smooth as silk or so I was told. Get Lung, Dennis or Phil to let you drive a few miles. The buyer of your place was selling his '06 car, not sure if it's still around but do you buy used?

    Evenng all.

I'm still getting used to the time zone changes, but if I have this right I'm posting aroung 10:30 PM your time.

One of your fellow members has let me know that I may have been a little heavy handed with my first post, if I was, then I apologize, I'm still getting the swing of things in here.

I'm not here to change how you post, what you post, or to step on ANYBODY'S TOES. Don't want to do that at all.

I'm just popping in to see what's going on, and to try and fix a problem that several of the guys who post in here have PM'd me about. That's multiple accounts and abusive (stalking, threatining tone) posts. That's all. Not gonna mess with anything else.

We're all here to have a good time, and I don't want to slow that down in any way.

So, I expect I'll mostly be invisible in here, you won't see me, hear from me, or get a sense that I'm messing with your sector, just trying to keep it all friendly, that's all.

If you want to pm me and tell me how you would handle this particular problem, please do. I'm completely open to suggestion. You can also email me dm.n.stuff AT gmail.com obviously replace the "AT" with "@"

    Thanks all,

    Dave M.

You mean the SLR? I've never seen one in flesh but it's got such a long nose & tout rear. I think I have some pics of it in black but if it does make it here, I'm sure it'll be more than a million dollar Merc ehhhh

    Hi Dave, yes, it's 2249 now. We're 8hrs +GMT & same as HongKong.

It's mostly harmless posts but do knock me off a few times as we sometimes don't know who's who anymore but there's many shy owners who feel uneasy. Asians like a little privacy.

Ahh, I have a spare room sir but it's only as big as one of your garage ;)

Eh? No, rara didn't feed me anything but your recent rides are all new aren't they? Orange going Monday or Tues, would love a farewell ride but a welcome ride definitely! I can still remember how happy rara was when he collected the black one, finished one tank in a night! A tank lasts me 360km & one week+.....

In order of my preference.... Flying spur, flying spur, flying spur. 553bhp? Danm! Buy a used one.

Personally, I don't like BMWs...the M5 is a good handling car. Firm sporty ride. A very everyday car. Probably a good compromise between handling and space.
The QP, very contemporary styling, smooth drive with the auto transmission. BUT somehow in Spore, its not selling as well as the DuoSelect. I have no idea why coz most potential buyers all complained that the DS was not rite for a saloon, that it was not smooth enough, that the jerkiness of the shift was felt in the rear. I test drove the QP auto... reasonably quiet, reasonably fast and reasonably compfortable. The car was "reasonably" great...but it lacked emotional attachment for me. After the test drive, I just walked away and never really thought about the car again.

    Consider a CLS55AMG, thats a nice car.

    haha, thanks for the offer!

editorial of top gear this month, "...Ferraris have a heart, have a pulse. They have a soul.If any car transcends the way we feel about living things and the way we feel about 'mere' machines, it is a Ferrari."

i am still in love with the prancing horse but i have too many issues with buying one at the moment, sigh.

looking forward to saying goodbye to orangina in style. let me know bro, let me know.

thanks bro, trust you to plump for the most wallet damaging option! but seriously, thanks for the opinion.

i can't get excited about the cls. looks too much like a banana boat to me and it's a bit too contrived. also, amg x 2 might be a wee bit overkill.

    the search continues...
