So, Talledega. Busch -- 7th place, not bad at all Nextel Cup -- JPM actually ran pretty well. He was in the top 10 with about 20 laps to go until Ryan Newman put him into the wall. Shame Ended up 31st several laps down. He's still in the top 20 in points, so he's already qualified for the next race at Richmond
I haven't followed JPM lately. What's the update. Still making dumb moves and wrecking people? I heard he is on probation. Still whining? Still a lovefest for him? Hasn't had a redneck kick his ass yet? Let me know when something changes.
no, he has been running very well actually. he made another very strong showing in the super speedway format in both the busch and nextel races. as mentioned by tillman, he was taken out by ryan newman. early on, i predicted that it would be newman that would be the guy to derail jpm and play too rough...it will be interesting to see what happens next? otherwise, jpm is showing very well and is running up from for the most part.
He is on probation becasue during last weeks qualifying or practice, he had an in car camera, and saw a friend of his in the pits, and gave him the finger as a joke, and it was carried on live TV...
Oh, yes. My boy, Jeff Gordon won the race. Still first in the standings. JPM hit the wall. Better luck next week. Has JPM paid his $10,000 fine for flipping the bird yet? It just keeps getting better and better. Ciao
Yes, my boy Jeff Gordon came in fourth and is still in first place. JPM came in 26th and fell 3 positions to 19th in the standings. Live is good.
JPM 22nd place. Jeff Gordon 1st place. Life is still good. Where are all the JPM fans? No posts since May 21st, now it's June 11th.
NASCAR takes a while to adjust to. No one jumps in and wins that fast. Of course Jeff Gordon is going to do better than JPM he has many more years expericence. Not to mention a better team. Your gloating is pointless. Now back to the racing...
Still here. JPM's doing pretty much as I expected him to, given that he's driving a Ganassi car. (see http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136523192&postcount=21) I'm a Gordon fan too, for years. The win belongs to the crewchief this time. I did watch the Eldora special, Montoya had a blast on the dirt and finished midpack. He really looked like he was having fun.
My boy, Jeff Gordon is still in first place. I too have been a Jeff Gordon fan for years. JP Montoya has fallen 1 position to 23rd. (Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.)
Yeah, but 23rd is still better than half the field - some/most of which have been racing stock cars for 10+ years. I admire the guy: he could have sat home, retired, and not done a damn thing the rest of his life, but here he is, doing something most folks dream about. Still.
That Eldora Special was great. I was totally shocked Schrader didn't win it, I would have bet the house on it.
Amen brother, when all these JPM haters win : The Indy 500 Monaco Get a Champ car title Score some F1 victories then they can dog the guy. But I suspect the most these online nerds have done is take a freeway onramp marked for 40 mph at 60 mph so of course they can speak on even terms about driver skill. With all the hate they have, you have to wonder if they have a secret man type love for him. He has done all those things plus he speaks his mind and is not a PR robot like MS was or most NASCAR drivers. He was great fun to watch drive Champ cars, at California Speedway he would come out of T4 working the wheel hard playing pitch and catch. Not a big fan of the overweight brown skin but admired his skill. I have to think ol' JPM just must cry at night knowing that some at FC hate him so.
The #55 Toyota Camry qualified 25th. It was driven by Terry Labonte and not Michael Waltrip. Anyone know why? Does Michael not race road courses? Somehow JPM qualified 32nd and I don't know why. He was 4th fastest in practice, but laid down a slow quali time. I didn' see him qualify because Speed TV cut to Craftsman Trucks instead of showing the rest of quali. P.S. PNH, your boy got penalized and is started at the back.
Qualifiying for a road course (read: real racing, for NASCAR at least).. JPM 32nd JG 41st How is life now?? ..Just teasing of course..but NOT a Jeff Gordon fan. Should be a fun race to watch - both of those guys should battle toward the front...
Do you guys think JPM's performance in NASCAR is taking away from F1's "title" of the pinnacle of motor sport and inflating the egos of the other NASCAR driver's beating him?
