First off, I like Lewis and think he has the potential to be one of the great ones. However, if we jog back just 7 months in time, we will realize that passing is possible in F1. After watching this year's races, this video really underscores what we don't have anymore.

Enjoy it again...for old time's sake!

Thanks for this post. I agree with you, Lewis is really good, but I am not ready to crown him just yet.

I am just glad I got to see Michael Schumacher race over an eight year period, and that I actually got to ride the elevator with him last year in Indianapolis.

honestly........schumy is SICK! No one drives like that, nowadays fast people starting in the back don't even make it more than a few places, sad...

I've seen this video before, it's actually in my favorites. Thing is though, it's easier to pass the whole field when you have the fastest car on the grid. The Ferrari's were blazingly fast in that race, probably because there was no reason to hold back. I mean who was going to block Michael in that race? The guys driving the Honda or BMW cars?

Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome drive, but as good as Michael and that Ferrari was, it didn't suprise me that he could do that.

Excellent find. That was a great video. Unitl now, I hadn't really realized how much passing had gone down without Schumi. Man I wish he would come back. :(

not sure if u guys noticed this, but has Lewis made a decent pass on the track yet? besides getting the jump at the start, he hasn't started lower than 4th i think?

but still, i have to admit he's a wonderkid. lots of talent, but still too early for me to compare him to any of the sport's greatest act.

Same here. It's definitely one of my all-time favorites. Here's another one I dug up a few days ago:

Yeah, after all, Lewis hasn't found it neccessary to crash into somebody yet in order to win the WDC.

Thanks, I have watched this one many times in the past. I think this one and the "Time Of Your Life" Tribute to MS are my favorite.

I also bookmarked this one a while ago that shows a different side of MS that most have not seen:

Really, I hadn't given him a second thought.:) Sorry Brian, couldn't resist. In all seriousness though, I love to see teammates allowed to race in equal cars like McLaren is now. That whole number one, number two stuff was tiresome. This season is very interesting, i prefer it this way, but that's just me.

Thanks for the vid. Love him or hate him, MS sure brought excitement to the track.

It's going to be interesting to watch how LH developes.

I'm not going to start faulting Lewis for qualifying well, nor will I bother comparing him to anybody. He is simply what is next. Besides, Lewis has made decent passes on the track in the lower formulas, it's only a matter of time before the need will arise in F1.

Thanks for the video. Would have preferred to hear the cars instead of the music.

Did he wave at Rubens when he passed?

I miss MS more than ever now.

Remy. Read your quote again. "besides getting the jump at the start, he hasn't started lower than 4th I think". While this is a fact what is the kid supposed to do? Qualify DFL to prove to someone (or the many people) not paying his salary that he can make it back through the field?
