And I did it last night. It's not that hard.. I am not sure why they can charge that much money...mmm. after looking at the parts diagram, it only took me about 30min. that's it. there were 2bolts behind the 7switches(you have to first pop out the climate control panel off, (I just pulled it grabbing on the knobs), then you pop off the switches 1by1, just pushing from behind carefully, then it pops, then just take off the switch 1by 1 again, then the coupler has to go behind those "cages" so you can reach those 2screws) on the center, had to take off the steering column parts that were piece of cake. (6screws?) and 3 bolts I believe, that's it! and then just carefully push up and there it pops! (there are 3 push in popping things I think) then carefully take off couplers that are behind the gauges. how could this be more than 200 dollar job to take off??!?????(then I guess another half hour of installation) another Ferrari deal I guess.. haha... I will post pics.(or am I allowed to show this? hehe) $2400/hour!!! This was in fact very fun to do!! as I got to see what was behind. It's really not hard to do. if you have normal tools, that's all you need, Man, I don't know how this could be 2400dollars...

I think the $2400 in the referenced thread is for: pulling the tach Notitec Rosso doing their thing Reinstall So, I don't think $2400 is the cost to pull dash. Still, glad its easy -dsd
Hi all. Update. There are some "tricks" that you have to do to put it back in. I was just putting it back in now. There are 3 pop off things like I mentioned ealier, and it has grommets on other side(the dash side) , that has to be reversed so it can go back in. (I think this is probably the way they do it. as it is really there to hold it in place more than anything I think.) 3 Vents has to come out, and even if you are careful,(I was...but.) you will break some notches that will hold them in place. So, you just have to make sure they are not half way broken, as they will not hold it in place when you want to put them back in. other than that, I think it is quite straight forward. Just do the reverse of what you did, (there are 3bolts that hold right below the cluster 2 forward and 1 on the side..see pics) 2 right behind center console switches..see pics also. So what's really holding them in is just 5 bolts + 3 pop off things. Mind you my car is RHD, so it will be a mirror if you have LHD I think. Putting it back in took more time than 30min because I had to figure that out, but even so, I took 1hour to put it back in. so if someone knowing these? I guess it is a "skill, and experience", but that's normal for pros. I still don't see the reason for the crazy price to change... mmm. Not too different than my GF's old Toyota, except I think the cluster had two securing screws in the cluster shade roof located in front of the cluster lens. What color face are you going to have Novitec screen onto your gauge?
Hi I am actually not doing anything on my gauge. lol. I was just bored so I just wanted to see how hard it was to do.. hehe... I actually don't mind the original one. I think it looks nice the way it is. I just found out my AC gas leaked out, so that's another job.. gahh..
An easy way to get the airbags out of the car is to slowly drive into a brick wall -- probably 15mph will do the trick. They'll literally pop right out.
