400i hangin' with the peeps

Today my father and I pressed his 400i into service to day for the first time in a quite while to go to the FCA event at the Corona Air Field. To our surprise we saw multiple 2+2s and I was able to get the following shot of the 400i among friends.

You need to bring it out to VCR on the last Sunday of the month. Over 500 exotics and classics show up, but I'm usually the only 400 there, though I have been seeing Kerim there recently!

We went to VCR for the first time a couple of weeks ago with Plugzit, Mgv1 and Yessy. I thought it was cool. At the time we took the little blue car (308) which is currently waiting to recieve a new water pump and why we pressed the 400i into service. So we just might dispite suspension issues.

btw don't you have a Honda s600?

It was great meeting you guys too. We had a blast talking with you and your wife. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll make it to VCR. (we 400 owners seem to have a tough lot in life just being 400 owners)

P.S. I called first dibs on the s800 a while ago!
P.P.S. there is coupe owner on is site and his is in similar condition to our roadster.

 

First one had a sunroof. I'm 6'3" and I kept hitting my head on it.
It was a series 1 car. Frankly, I like the series 1 cars much better than the later ones. Pretty car, now owned by a fellow Fchatter.

Picked up a 5-speed early this year. Series 2 car.

Yep, cost me a small fortune but it made a great photo don't you think?

(thats when it was at Bill Pollard's place in CT getting serviced)

Nice seeing you yesterday, Grumpy. Glad to see there was at least one 400i there! Sad to say, but I don't think the world's record was broken
