I spotted my #1 dream Ferrari tonight. I'm just uploading the pics and I'll post it...

 

...it was a Yellow F430 Spider with gun metal challenge rims, F1, lowered and Tubi exhaust. (although I would prefer the standard F430 wheels and true 6 speed)

^Seen that car in West Van a bunch of times, think owner lives there.

 

sure seem to be alot of exotics parked on robson.... whats your guys view on that? do you just think, "WOW, nice car!" or do you think "****, can't get his adulation fix anywhere else" or somewhere in between?!

just strikes me as total poseur-ish behaviour. i bought my car b/c i love driving it..... i did *not* buy so i can park it on Robson, sip cappucinos at Blenz and jerk-off at the site of ppl gawking at it.


anecdotally, i know a guy (has a yellow 04 gallardo) who is notorious for this and big surprise, his clutch is fried after 5k km. !!!!

 

one of my fav 430s in Van, same with the orange one with sport seats

 

well most of the early model gallardos had friend clutches at 5k, did not matter how you drove them

 

Yeah I thought so, that place has exotics almost everyday.

 

Always "Wow Nice car!" and if the owner is around tell him how cool his car is.

 

Option B, I did park on Robson Street once, and just seemed like a high-stress situation with the density of the cars and people, and the high tax-collecting presence. I equate Robson St with begging for a front-plate violation. Seeing a panel truck parallel park in front of my car at 20m/h in reverse was no fun either.

If they were drivers they'd be at some hole in the wall diner in Lillooet after dusting off the Duffy Lake road, or Merritt after hwy 3 & 5A

Robosn Street is allowed for out of province cars - the WA state guys and AB guys, for instance.

 

Agree. Different people buy cars for different reasons but they all appreciate a few kind words!

White NSX, white GT3. And that was it.
