That would only add to the experience. I'd have the captain go into a nose dive so those of us in the cabin could have some weightless fun. :)

There's really no reason to own your own jet unless you travel A LOT. Most private jets are owned by corporations or individuals that charter them out to make a little extra money I suppose. I've only heard of a few owners that fly them occasionally and the rest of the time it's just parked.

Why not have a yacht to vacation on for a few months a year, maybe a week every month, and charter a jet to get there? ;) You can get a very nice yacht for the price of a Gulfstream G550...

i would definetly take a megayacht.... however, if i was going to spend that much, i would rather not buy one that is already in existence (like the octopus or something), and i would have the builders overshoot the estimate by a few hundred million, so i could use the 'extra' to buy myself a concorde and a ton of fcars!

If I had alot of money I would buy a Yach simply because I love the water. But since I would have so much money a fractional ownership of a jet such as Netjet wouldnt be a ton of money. I think then I could have the best of both worlds.

    Mega-Yacht.
Even though I believe a boat is nothing more than a hole in the water that you pour money into, the per hour operation cost has got to pale in comparison to a plane.

I said jet because I am at the stage in life where I need to get around more than I need to lounge. Were I retired or closer to it I'd say yacht, but for now I perfer functionality.

If it were mine, i'd completely rip out the interior and start over.

I voted yacht - like a second house, and you can always charter a jet on a whim.

Great story about this. One of the guys at my airport had one of these. Did the interior, and was going to use it to travel around the world. I'd like something similar, a C117, which is a twin engine military cargo plane. You could load your stuff into it, carry your car around. Only problem is that it's a little slow, about 200 mph, but it has about 2000 mile range. Big enough for that hot tub, and your car.

Mega yatch. Why spend $50 million to sit inside a stuffy aluminum tube? Just charter it. I'll take the yatch.
