In addition to my "oil change procedure" thread, I have some questions on brake bleeding on my 348.

I want to change my fluid to DOT 5.1, before an upcomming track event. I use the old "2 guy- pump the pedal"- method

Since the bleed valves are visible thru wheels, is there any need to jack up the car when bleeding the brakes?

How much fluid do I need to buy for a brake bleed?

I what order do I bleed the wheels?

Is there anything speciel to notice when doing a brake bleed on a 348?

You can do it through the wheels, just make sure the hose on the nipple does not pop off ;)!!

Old school of thought is do the wheel furthest from the Master Cylinder first, then the second furthest etc..... I would use the same stuff the factory calls out for in the manual. Sometimes newer modern fluids are not compatible with our older technology hydraulic seals... in other words may cause premature leaks or failure of seals.....
