Guys we passed the summer solstice... more spotting... I'll kick it off.

Boxer trim BB512 (redundant?) red, Tower road in Winnetka today at 11am. Caught a glimps of the guy, did not look familiar, but he had a HUGE smile on his face!

 

Grey 360 with temp. plates on Milwaukee/Dempster intersection.

 

Last Saturday, I saw an orange Gallardo in Randall Rd. heading to Elgin. It was drizzling a bit that afternoon.

 

Black/Black LP640 Roadster near Western on Sunday and a Dark Blue 430 Spider Monday night at Capital Grille.

 

Every afternoon: Lotus Elise parked right by the Ohio Street extension; I see it looking west from the NW Metra line.

Saw a Red 348 on Rt. 12 in Palatine turning onto Hicks rd heading North at Lunch time today...

 

4 ordinary cars in the LSD underpass at Irving park right this minute.

What's so special about them? They're in 2 feet of water. Abandoned.

Along the Kennedy it was the same! HUGE lakes with cars in them! I heard they got 3" of rain in about an hour.

As I was struggling home I came past the former storage place of my 308 and noticed how they lined up sand bags trying to keep the water from flooding the garage.

 

Unbelievable. I live in southern Lake County, and work in Elk Grove Village. Not a drop of rain in either place.

 

I was at Ed's yesterday, as they were preparing the Roller for the trip to the VA Hospital show.

It poured for about 5 mins., then nothing. I headed home about 4 and the streets were dry.

Was there again today as there was more to be done to the car. Saw Richard, and it looks like his 348 will be ready for the show. Yours too Andreas.

Wow, sounds like Ed should get an award!

 

He should: Not only is he working feverishly on Richard's, Skip's and my car, he is also trying hard to get his own roadster ready for the VA show: All he wanted was to install different belts and the result is, that he basically reworked the entire car. Sound familiar?

Aka as the "domino effect" or the "while I'm in there" syndrome.

Spotted a Smart car on Northwest Highway around 5:30pm.

 

Hopefully and promised 348 for tomorrow and ready for VA show.

White Rolls (Skip) and Daytona spider (Andreas) at Ed's yesterday.

 

-black RR phantom on 290 headed west around thorndale
-also seen a maybach around the last couple days. Actually not sure if it was the same one or different ones both days.
-yesterday saw what i would consider an exotic a porsche GT2 headed south on route 83 at plainfield rd.

 

If it was in the Palatine area, it was probably from Exotic Car Share.

They're selling them now.

 

When I got home tonight, I noticed some leakage under the Rolls; not unusual!

Looks like maybe the left front caliper is blown, and also the left strut!

Hell, I'll drive it anyway Saturday. I have to take the 'Little Old Lady'( no disrespect intended) for a drive around the hospital after the show, as I did last year.

She is a Sweetheart; Ms. Barb, that is!

 

I see two every day from the train; one near the Mt. Prospect station and one at Cumberland.

Yes it was..didn't know they're selling them! Pretty sweet.

 

And tonight a red F430 Spider at Capital Grille.

 

Red and blue Z06's and a maroon Elise.

 

Saturday 10:30am red 430 Spider Southbound on I94 and Northbound on I94 at 4:30pm. I noticed him both times, he ignored me both times.
