Looks nice. Still waiting for the factorybuild F40 GTE in "IGOL" livery. I´m hoping MakeUp Co. will release it in the near future.

    Beautifull, but.....
I am not buying them anymore.
The word "limited" edition is a BBR invention to sell more models.

Every dealer can order his own limited edition!

I am giving up on BBR, you buy something special and some months later the exact same model comes in a limited edition in several colors or baseplates.

I used to collect BBR because they were produced in small series, they were rare, and the best available.

About a year ago, I decided to stop with BBR.
I am only keeping the pre 1995 produced models, and concentrate on small production models.

I understand your point of view Hans. I keep on buying BBR but only the ones I like. I am not interested in limited productionnumbers, what matters to me is that they are a nice addition to my collection. As BBR177A (Daytona Panther Westwinds) will be.

You have an interested but unwarranted response. BBR Models makes runs of models to help with the passion of collectors. Yes, dealers can buy small runs of models, but only few do. And where else will you get these colors and specialty models. The F40 LM was brought out of "retirement" for this run, it was done in the 1990s and now is being made for us.

Each of these models are limited to 10 pieces.

Beautiful colors. I wish I had some spare cash to sink into one of these instead of the 'Stang.

First of all, I didn't want to offend anybody, dealer or collector.

    but:
Are you the only dealer who can order a rerun of one of these early models?
    I dont think so....
Any official dealer can order a "new" run of a certain model in a limited edition.
So, whats the point of calling it a limited edition........

For you it's business, you need to sell and make a living.
From a business kind of view youre absolutely right.
I would do the exact same thing.

As a collector, my feeling for BBR depreciates
    and that's my point.
I have been collecting BBR from the start in 1988.
Spent years searching for some special models.
Finding a rare piece is a challenge, and acquiring it, is the reward.
And now the same model is made again?

My opinion is personal, and a lot of my BBR's are very special to me,
I will never sell them, but I won't buy new ones anymore.

I recently met some longtime collectors, and I must say, I'm not the only one thinking this way.

I truely understand where you are coming from and I/ We are not offended. But you have to put it in perspective. The models that were done in the 1980s and early 1990s are no where as good as the current ones. By no means do we sell the new ones as the original.

Should Ford not release the Ford GT. Many say yes and no. But the way they did allows more people to enjoy the vehicle as the mystery still survives. As one of BBR Models' largest dealers world wide, I take it upon myself to spread the passion of these miniatures just as Ferrari is spreading the message of the real things. We do not make fantasy vehicles that never existed. Why would we, we have 600 models in stock from the ones dating back to the 1980s.

I agree with you on one point that others can make these models. But will not produce a model that another dealer is producing. It hurts the industry. On regards to limited edition, these models are limited. If there is only 399 Enzos made, would it be limited edition? What about the other 7 that they made (unsure of the number) No one is yelling at Ferrari. What about the F40, originally made as a "Limited Edition" vehicle but ended up producing 1300+ vehicles. Since we only have 10 of each color they are limited.

We are working with BBR to make models that were never created and models that all collectors would like to have. You have your own opinion and you are right to have it. But the models are mostly made at the collectors request. For example we are working with BBR to make another run of the 365 GT 2+2 because of the response that FerrariChat community had.

If there is anything people would like to see, we are open to new ideas and concepts.
