So.. unable to attend the 60th ann. celebrations in Maranello fellow FChatter mat and I decided to head over to the Nurburgring for Modena Trackdays (26-27/06). Was a wonderful event, although weather on the first day was very foul - if it wasn't raining it was windy, if it wasn't windy then it was raining... mostly it was raining, windy and cold at the same time though :D Access was amazing - everyone could walk up to any car there, the pits were open to all public. Here are some pics from the event.. unfortunately my camera's LCD led me to believe that many more were in focus than actually were, so I'm not able to show you everything that was there. Hopefully other FChatters post their's too :) Enjoy!

(some 80 pics to upload, pls be patient ;))

    3. Modern(-ish ;))

Mondial on Challenge rims looked absolutely great! M3 was I think the biggest surprise of the event (saw a 348 front coming out of the pit box... and when that long rear end appeared my jaw just dropped). The blue 308QV was just stunning, the pics don't do the colour on that car any justice ;]

PS Anyone know what that stripped 308 was used for?

Heard a 250GTO for the first time in my life. I was standing by the pit wall, looking at the track when I heard a great booming sound.. I honestly thought it was a plane passing over us until I realized the sound had just passed by me on the pit lane along with the GTO!! :D Simply amazing..

I once questioned Rob and he said pics from events should go here, hence my thread.. :)

That would have been great to see them getting used out on the track.

    Thanks for posting the photos.

Yes. Take a look at the pic were it's shown from the front - you can see the same plate that's on the rear and a taped up on the the bonnet too. IIRC the hidden one was a German plate.

Too bad it didn't see much action :( I don't think it even did a lap of the track - just in and out of the trailer and started up once. Shame...
