A dispicable act of police brutality was committed on "Go Skateboarding Day" by the Hot Springs, Arkansas Police Department.

This cop (Officer Joey Williams) in the video is a joke and a disgrace not only to the Police Department but to the USA and something should be done by the way he treated these kids.

Not as much as it is to be grabbing 13 year girls by the throat.

This guy is in for it now. You can't do that and claim you are "Resisting arrest" and creating a disturbance and interfering with a police officer just because you are video taping him having a fat headed reaction. I have a really good lawyer for them

As far as I'm concerned the kids were in the wrong. The video starts after he had the kid on the ground but judging by how the other kids were acting where one ran away from the cop. I would say the first kid on the ground was running too when he got taken to the ground. Then the other kids kept interfering with him. Bottom line my belief is if the kids would have just stopped when he told them too he probably would have written citations and they could have avoided this. They were in violation of city ordinance. Some BS skateboarding day does not supercede the ordinance. The kids actions IMO were the ones out of line.

So if a cop pulled your daughter over for failure to use her turn signal, and instead of giving her a ticket or a warning, he grabed her by the throat, threw her on the gorund and threatened to mace her, you would say "It's OK, my daughter was in the wrong"? I don't think so.......this cop was obviously out of line.

Well ADA will cover the wheelchairs as far as segways I don't know or care. Bottom line they addressed skateboarding as no. Wheelchairs are not nor will be considered in the same catagory.

Try eluding a cop in a car and see if it won't get you slammed to the ground when they finally catch you. Basically I believe that is how thisall started these kids were trying to run from him and after he caught one they started video taping. Was the force excessive probably. Were the kids completely innocent H*LL NO.

How about snake boards, bmx bikes and rollerblades? If not roller blades, how about 50's style roller skates?

If I put 4 wheels on a mini fridge and used it for transport/recreation, would it be considered a skate board?

Here in Detroit it is illegal to have sex in any position accept missionary. If I am busted for doing the lotus with my lady, is the police officer allowed to put me in a choke hold?

May I ask how old you are?

The kid who ran was just standing there. The cop had no interest in him till he said "I have a picture of him choking her". The kid with the video camera never did squat. He just stood there. The girl he put in a choke hold did not do anything either. I don't know what you call running from the cops. I only saw one. How can you say that previously ran? If they did they, only ran about 4 feet.

Tell it to someone who hasn't felt a tazer against his heart.

He was out of line from the first frame of the video now I don't know what brought him to the scene but from frame one he was physically on top of a kid for "Skating" this is a ticket offense. This isn't an arrest-able offense or he would not have had to resort to "Creating a disturbance" that is a catch all when there is no real crime. you can't resist arrest unless there is an offense to be arrested for. hence the Creating a disturbance.

With this video this cop is going to be patrolling walmart in a golf cart. or maybe he can get a job with the Dallas PD

Sure im 37 just like it says in my profile. As far as all the technicalities you are bringing up I don't know and really don't care. Bottom line riding SKATEBOARDS are against city ordinance there. If they had stopped and acted respectful it would have probably ended without incedent. Althouh that is speculation. The officer may have a record of this too. I'm sure he is going to pay dearly for this. I still say he wasn't 100% in the wrong though.

Yeah, a lame city ordinace which is equal to failure to pick up your dog's turds in a park. If your wife refused to pick up a dog turd at the park, do you think that warrants a choke hold, threaten to be maced and arrest, or a ticket?

Define skateboard. Bottom line, nouns shouldn't be used in writing city ordinances. Verbs should be used and well backed by the majority of the community. Judging by reactions to the video. I do not think the majority would side with the law on that one. Any adult with children wouldn't want to be in a town with officers that behave that way.

His (the officer's) actions are FAR more detrimental to society than the kid's.
