The market is floaded with 430's. Wholesale on this car gets about $280k-$290k max.

Flooded Huh? Wholesale is not what you will be giving. Retail. thanks for your wealth of information. I gave 329, some have given up to 400k. Retail is 320 to 350. I guess you knew that.

I am more into the red car next to your yellow one. Have owned a bunch of both. 12 cylinders and 570 horsepower for me.

What was MSRP on this car. That would be helpful to most buyers.

MSRP is irrelevant. All these cars, ESPECIALLY the spyders, went for and are going for wayyy over MSRP, including when they were initially sold from any dealer.

I would be interested to find any Ferrari dealer that sold a 430 Spyder at MSRP.

Mark from Dork, the point is to see what the options on the car were that AL was asking for. We know that the market value is different, however, the options make a big difference, try to bring your brain around that? eh?

Are you kidding? MSRP irrelevant? You evidently haven't seen seen a 430 options list or you would understand why it's very relevant. Why do you think some Spyders are $285k and others are $325k? Just because??

a quick glance at the May 2007 Carrzozzeria Scaglietti price list has ~ $75K of available "options" without getting into the out of range paints or other custom options. MSRP is definately a factor in the initial and resale price.

    Depends who's asking

MSRP is hardly irrelevant. If the car is loaded the MSRP could be $265k or higher. Obviously that car may be worth the $320 or so where as a MSRP car of $215 would not???

    Earth calling come in.........

OK- to set the record straight, I just bought my 2007 spider in April 2007 for MSRP. Options do and can add up to 60K, so knowing MSRP will be relevent to an asking price.

Guess I was drunk, I didn't read it that way. Yes I agree that makes sense, to see what options the car has as itemzied into the MSRP. On any car like that it's good to see the options of course! I guess I looked at it as simply knowing the MSRP as a number, since it seems dealers and private sellers are making no direct correlation on a percentage markup just based on the number. I agree the options are what will make the car worth coughing up the extra dough, or not.

Billy, my car was a manual, it had 453 miles $ 235k sticker and we sold it the same price range you are asking in 1 week, in the dupont registry...we took in on trade the 360 spider I have now...Mark the car are between $65k and $100k over the sticker price, the more options, the more the sticker is so the more over you will pay!

Did you have a chance to check out the 6.0 billy?
