    Our annual "invasion" on Double K's Hooters Concours has been scheduled for July 8. This time we're back at the one on Higgins Road near O'Hare.

    Kerry is trying a new voting/judging system with lots of trophies, should give more of us a chance at a trophy.

    Regarding Ferraris, this one show right now looks like the only judged concours all season long in our town. So don't miss it!

    I realize this is a bit early as an announcement, but I wanted to give folks a chance to pencil it into their calendars. More often than not we hear that they would have come, if only that weekend they hadn't already made other plans.

    Thank you Sire, but I actually have a great team who makes these things possible. Point in case, Kerry organizes this event. I'm just making sure you hear about it on here and in Pilota. :)


    PS: There will also be another Double K Produktions Kruise night with the elektion of the Koolest Kar this year. Stay tuned..

    Alright, now that the VA event is in the books, the annual Hooters concours is just around the corner: Next Sunday!

    Once again Kerry has a new way of setting up the concours and some new and really nice trophies (not that I didn't love the previous ones).

    So who's coming? I'll bring again "my other V-8".

    From the Double K website, registration begins at 9:00 AM and awards are presented at 4:00 PM. The address is 8225 Higgins Rd, Chicago.

    9am-4pm

    Now you don't have to be there all that time. You can show up later (e.g. 11am) and you can always leave early. 9am is when you can put your car on the parking at the earliest. Trophy ceremony normally begins around 3pm. I'll try to be there early and save some spots for us, so we can be together. Around noon we normally go for some Chicken wings etc.

    Robert and I will try and make it...we have some relatives showing up that we may have to deal with. Not particularly favorite relatives either...this would be a good excuse.

    Just in case somebody missed it:

    This event will be at the Hooters on Higgins Road (near O'Hare) and NOT in Schaumburg. It is open to all cars, not just Ferraris and you should be there by at least 11am (ideally earlier).

    Weather forecast is good, but warm. Looking forward to see you guys again!

    PS: Please nobody give the results of the British GP away! Sadly Fox will tape delay the race to noon, so we'll have to watch the tape after we come home in the evening.

    My exhaust is still leaking. Working on it and, I hope to get it back together by tomorrow. The wife is gettin upset. May have to put the cats back on?

    Thanks all for coming, was great to see you all again and even for once manage to watch a F1 Grand Prix together.

    Congratulations to Gerry and Dave for their trophies in the "modern" car class and Super Kudos to Haley and Chelle for taking home one of the top ten trophies in the vintage class!
