There are two events on the western slope in Colorado Aug 25th.

The Lotus Club is having their national meet in Snowmass Village. Monday is track day at Woody Creek Raceway. Emerson Fittipaldi. Concours, tour, autocross, etc. Discount for early signup ends June 30th.

CECA is having their Exotic car show in Aspen that same weekend. Track day is on Sunday.

I am planning on doing one or both of these events. Anybody else going?

    Phil

Insurance requires Lotus membership to participate in any of the LOG events.

dont want to start trouble, but my insurance covers me on a drive on a public road, with or without LOG permision.

I always welcome any type car at my events, but if you lotus guys cant handle a Ferrari there, just say so, dont use a BS 'insurance" excuse!!!

It will be less expensive to do the CECA event on Sunday. And fewer cars, more track time. Unless you want to do two days, it's a no-brainer for the CECA event.

I am trying to fund out if we need (installed at hand) fire extinguishers for the CECA event. Anybody know???

Phil, i wasnt talking about the track event. the LOG is having a scenic tour/rally that I thought we could tag along. As for CECA, mounted fire extinguishers are required.

    Oh jesus, get over yourself.

You are trying to start trouble because you know good and well how these things work. Of course you can drive on the public road. You may even find yourself in the middle of a LOG drive. Nobody is going to wave you over and ask for your papers. But if you care to be part of the group or participate in the LOG events, registration is required as well as Lotus Club membership. This is an highly organized national event, not some Saturday afternoon meet at the local "Tasty Freeze" where the Ferrari guy goes to get his ego stroked.

Oh, a national event, I'm impressed!!! As for our meets at the tasty freeze, it's all about car guys getting together and enjoying each others cars and some spirited driving. All are welcome, and no one is there to get their "ego stroked". Most of us are successful enough in life that we dont need some kid in a Lotus staring in awe at our f-cars to make us feel good. I could care less. Just want to drive and have fun. Maybe you need to spend some more time on lotuschat.com, and come back to f chat when you're all grown up!!!

    Nick,

We don't have a Tasty Freeze in Aspen or Snowmass (where the Lotus Nat'l meet is). That would be Denver (where you are from). :D

Your response is juvenile at best. I hope your attempt at talking tough like man has boosted your sad, pathetic ego. I can't believe you, of all children, is spouting off about growing up. Step off your big man high horse and heed your own advice. I expect the next thing you are going to spew on about is how important and successful you are...oh wait, you already covered that. Typical, overcompensating babble. "I'm so important. I'm so successful. Rules don't apply to me." Bla, bla, bla. As I said, get over yourself.

Rules like the ones in place are typical for any large event. Don't cry about it. It has nothing to do with you or your very important and giant ego. Wow.

First, why don't you spend the 15 bucks and subscibe if you want to rant!

Second, just checked your profile. What a surprise, no Ferrari! It's always the ones "without" that accuse the ones "with" of having ego problems. Sounds like a case of Ferrari envy to me!

How about joining us for a drive and have lunch. We don't have a Tasty Freeze so I suggest we all take a run up to Ashcroft to the legendary Pine Creek Cookhouse. The Quail Salad with Pinot Grigio is fantastic. Best view from a restaurant I've ever seen.

    Last one up there buys!

    http://www.pinecreekcookhouse.com/kitchen.html

Then you can lead us to your favorite Tasty Freeze. :D
