I am happy to have contributed to a Ferrari one-two, the first time I have done this with Kimi. But, I am just a little bit disappointed that I was not the one in front at the end of the race.
    "

"Everything worked perfectly that afternoon, except that, at the key moment in the race I was not very lucky and last Sunday, Kimi had all the lucky points in his hands," Massa continued. "That's the way it goes sometimes."

boy Massa does sound pissed, and Kimi is motivated like hell. for some reason, i think Kimi will win this weekend's british GP.

    1) Kimi
    2) Massa
    3) Hami

    or..

    1) Massa
    2) Hami
    3) Kimi ( in case Kimi goes back to sleep :D )

I predict that the race will be overshadowed by Stepney-gate. This is a serious situation, compounded by the fact that McLaren IMMEDIATELY showed better pace after the information exchange. I don't think there's a way to spin the story that the Cheif Engineer did not use this information to benefit McLaren. And again, that their dramatic jump in performance happened after Stepney gave the info speaks volumes.

This one won't just go away. I don't know what the FIA does with this...I wouldn't want to see McLaren banned for the season, but how do you get around it?

    youve made me laugh here.

assuming that mclaren did read the information (and indeed that they did get what ppl are saying they got) do you seriously think they could use that data to IMMEDIATELY improve the pace of their own car by any amount let alone something noticeable.

so you dont think it would takes weeks an weeks to analayse the data, let alone extrapolate something useful from it that could be used on a totally different chassis ?

    one other thing.
the reports are all indicating that the info was discovered at the guys house not the factory.

if thats the case its not lots of professionals with gigantic amounts of funding - its one man looking at it on his own in his spare time (if he looked at all)

in the long term i suspect such information could be quite helpful
it could help suggest what avenues to explore or ignore
it might give a few ideas that hadnt been thought of.
but in the short term i cant see it helping.
these are state of the art chassis costing millions of ££££ - they cant just "add a few bits here and there" not without conducting serious testing and comparisons first

Ron would pick Massa at the front with whoever else behind him.

    think about it.

they would need to check that the info was valid - eg they hadnt deliberately been given duff info.
then they would need to work out was new to them
then decide if those bits that werent known could be made to fit the Mclaren chassis
oh and of course what works on one car might cause differing results on another car - they might even be detrimental.

these are state of the art chassis costing millions of ££££ - they cant just "add a few bits here and there" not without conducting serious testing and comparisons first

    wait a minute...

The Silverstone circuit has activated a series of contingency plans to minimise the disruption for fans at this weekend's British Grand Prix following the torrential rain in the Northamptonshire area.

As a result of the poor weather, Silverstone has drafted in additional resources to strengthen its existing car parking facilities.

Circuit bosses are also working with the police to monitor the situation with local campsites.

"The recent weather conditions have affected the entire country," said Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone.

"Whole sections of the UK are under water; Wimbledon looks set to go into a third week; and the Royal Show at Stoneleigh Park has been forced to finish a day early.

"We've been keeping a close eye on the weather and have now actioned a number of contingency plans to minimise disruption to the fans and ensure that the customer experience is not compromised."

I predict the race will be overshadowed by the Coughlan/McL scandal.

McL will be distracted and SF will win. Kimi> Phil
