Just as the title says. Need to replace mine but want to get a genuine VW or Bosch item. Short of the factory part # does anyone know which model/year VW the switch is for?

BTW this is on my '82 308.

75-81 or there about, VW Rabbit, two pole (two male spade connectors) type. Most any auto parts store will have them, less than $20. You can find them, obviously, at any import auto parts store or VW dealer as well. I don't believe Bosch made them.

    NAPA FS-193 Switch: On: 82 degrees C / Off: 68 degrees C

This switch originally fitted to early 1980 Peugeot. Less than $25.00 USD. Perfect fit, completely interchangeable in every aspect.

For comparison: OEM Veglia switch: On: 85 degrees C / Off: 76 degrees C
