Bently or Hyundai?? Hmmmmmmmmmm....

This is crazy. But apparently someone in L.A. has rebadged a Bently as a Hyundai. What are people thinking???

I imagine the owner is trying to be less ostentatious; or it's a joke.

Sometimes when I drive my Rolls, I feel overly conspicuous.

 

I want to put VW logos on my '84 Porsche. If I put Ferrari badges on the '86, sadly, to many people would believe. It gets called a Ferrari enough already...even with it clearly stating otherwise in many conspicuous places.

Being from TX, you probably didn't get it, but that area is like Beverly Hills, all upscale, there would never be a low end car dealership in that town, & the street intersection is purely a residential section.

He's probably thinking that his/her particular Bentley will get a lot more attention than the droves of others rolling around. The person probably gets a huge kick out of the irony and attention that only car people are likely to notice. Heck, it even made Fchat.

 

The only people it will offend are badge snobs or other Hyundai owners.

It would have a greater impact if it used a VW badge.

I love the idea... haven't you guys seen the lame Hyundai commercials where they compare a Hyundai (insert model here) to cars that are twice as much. One is about the Hyundai Santa Fe compared to a Land Rover and how the Hyundai is better in every way accept the Rover has more cup holders.

I hate those ads. They have a similar one where they compare their Sonata to a BMW. In my opinion they are worlds apart.

Actually I'd like to replace the Spirit of Ecstasy on the front of my Rolls with a Barbie on a brass stripper pole, but I doubt my parents would go for it.

The Queen would also probably have me hunted down and killed, which is why I have also refrained from putting the Sex Pistols sticker on the back window.

 

I've got a pic on one of my hard drives that I took a few years ago. It is a Hyundai with a 528i badge on the back of it.
