Here's a picture of my 2007 spider, needless to say coming out of a CS the ride height is hideous and needs to come down. I was thinking about lowering it myself and then having the corner balancing and alignment preformed. My F-dealer stated the warranty would be voided if the ride height is changed so I figure I'll do it myself, mark the original spring positions and revert back to it when I need to bring the car in. Nice looking car!!! Ferrari has really gone too far with the warranty crud........ I have never changed the ride height on my car (my CS is still factory set), but I do know if you take the wheels off, there's a ring that screws up and down on the shocks to raise and lower the car. There should already be a mark from the factory that goes through the ring.
I had the service department lower my new 430 at time of purchase (12/06) and have since required "warranty services" with no problem. Where is it written and/or what authority is cited regarding change of policy? It would be interesting if a dealer wished to make this retroactive. Best
the burden of proof would be on Ferrari to prove that the warranty claims were a direct result of the ride height change. Honestly, that won't happen. Just get it done!
All the warranty work is proving very costly for F. That's why they're looking for excuses to deny a claim. Of course your relationship with the service guy could make all the difference. They may not get away with it if push comes to shove but I'm sure they'd give it a try to see if you'd roll over. Let us know what you find out about adjusting the ride height to at least Euro specs?

This is absolutely correct. They can make all the threats they want, but just take them with a grain of salt, because there is no way they hold water legally.

That red car fixes everything I don't like about the 430 cosmetically. It looks so much better lowered, that is the stance you would expect from Ferrari.

The height of your car looks just fine! Or are your roads like a billiard table where you live? In Sydney that car would be smashed to pieces in a week

Your car is beautiful. Ferraris sit too high due to some stupid U.S. regulation, I'm really dissapointed to hear that a dealer would tell you that lowering the car to it's original European setting would create warranty issues. That's just petty and simply BAD customer relations. Good luck and lower it
