Finished car some 3-4 years before unveiling? AND being so willfully exposed? Sure, go ahead and believe that if you want to..
Typical crap magazine photoshop, just a messed up version of the current model with a copy+paste of parts of the newer car (599 in this case). What they don't realize is it will be different from the 360/430. The 308/328 were one model and it's modified version same with 348/355 hence the similar styling. If the past is any pattern to judge by (and it seems to be) it will look little like the current F430. Flash back 18 months guys. All the 575M successor photoshops in magazines were just 612's with F430 cues on them
Manufactures usually go to great length to hide new changes or body styles untill the launch, unless they are looking for public reaction as with concepts or perhaps to send us and off the trail. It's really funny to look back at old renderings and compare with what actually went into production.
No, arguably we live in a post-literate society... videos, cd's, tv, movies, adverts based on a montage of images and music, sensationalist media "Wolf Blitzer" et al!, - - - you get the drift... How many of the people who do any of the above have honestly read any of the classics? Shakespeare, Aristotle, Baudrillard, & not blaming anyone - I'm the same... - we just read books way less than we used to, magazines are the norm, and even then how many of them are just trash... Back to focusing on the positive...
The F430 is such a good looking car! I dont see how Ferrari is going to top it. If that is the actual car they come out with to replace the F430...well then I think its a step down.
I dont like the F430 looks and so looks are in the eye of the beholder and all that. For me the ultimate word in styling at the moment (of a recent F-car) is the 360 Challenge Stradale, its design looks so much more cohesive, none of that over angular Enzo edge styling (I also disliked the Enzo styling) while still looking sharp and modern. The problems with this new photoshop illustrations is even worse, now its beginning to look like a cross between a Toyota MR2 Mk3 and a Nissan 350Z!!!
Hey guys - Put a hold your F430 deposits... check out this replacement for the F430.... I LIKE IT http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/13193/spied-2009-ferrari-f.html Picture - credit: Car & Driver website.... thx guys Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey drew935 yeah I saw the same article in this month Road & Track about the 2011 replacement (F450) but which one do you like? I think both designs are Hot looking, but it looks like Ferrari already has a real full functional concept F450 (show in the article) so it might be out sooner then we all think. However, everyone I've been talking with; they still say that Ferrari will NOT developed a F430 CS version from the standard F430 model this year but I'm thinking they will... Why Not! Ferrari doesn't want Porsche, Corvettes, and or Lamborghinis to beat their standard F430 coupe and they of course want to remain on top with other manufactures. When the F430 CS comes out, I think its going be a very short-lived model, a temporary solution before the next bread of Ferrari (F450, F460??) hits the market but which one will it be? So I keep saying... STAY TUNED GUYS! Ferrari has an Ace up their sleeve along with a very big price tag!
Rob, I have yet to compare the CS to the 450. I'm sure that they will have to make something happen soon. As Ruf CTR is climbling fast to production but still will have to see what demand it will capture. The Bristol Fighter, will be another contender if brought to the US with 1011Hp TT Viper engine. Lambo's competition maybe the Audi R8 but it really is a Murc undercover. The 599 is right up their alley. -Andrew
autoweek is reporting they have spotted the f430 replacement, most likely with a 500hp plus v8, 4.5 to 5 plus liter engine....they claim the new car could be released as earily as end of 08...anyone with any insight on details of the new car and possible release date?????????
I thought the rumor was the replacement will be a V10, and the new "Dino" will be a front mounted V8. Even still, I don't expect to see it for a few years. The "Light Prista" (Challenge Straddle) version of the current F430 hasn't even been released yet.
(No offense to you) but why does everyone think that there is going to be a Dino? I read an interview with Montezemolo, and he said it is not happening. Was he wrong?
Many people on here have hinted that is being built on the old Maserari Coupe platform they were further developing before they decided on a shortened QP for the GranTurismo. I am just the messanger... I would rather there wasn't a "Dino" either. Hopefully some of our guys in the know will chime in.
