St Moritz is referred to as "Top Of The World" and it feels like it is... sorry no Countachs in these pics. Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Joe, Thanks for the pictures! So the owner of #HLA12045 just gave you the keys of his Countach for the weekend? Very nice of him! I have pictured that car myself in 2000. Can't seem to upload pictures because I have reached my limit, how can I upload Countach pics in the future? Did you get any other chassisnumbers of the Countach's that participated? Ciao! Marcello
Actually he "tossed" the keys whilst quipping: "You know how to drive one of these dont you?" He got to pick from one of his 7 other Lamborghinis. He is a good family freind. joe www.joesackey.com
Joe what are you doing driving a Countach in the rain. Don't you know that they will melt if they get wet. Just kidding The photos look great and good on you for piling on the mileage.
Its great to see the European cars used like they are, but the expression "driven hard & put away wet" does in fact apply to many of them. LOL. Joe www.joesackey.com
Hi Joe, we need more pics of this European tour! I don't know what's nicer to look at....the CT's or the scenery.... Ok the CT's are
Bump for the Countach. Late model roadsters are nice, but the Countach needs to stay up top. We are having a gathering this Saturday and a local downdraft Countach is planning to attend. Should be fun.
I will have my wife help with that: there are also Miura, Diablo, Gallardo & Murcielago pics. I just returned from another trip so give me a week or so... Joe www.joesackey.com

few questions for you Joe (or anyone else who can answer) i. ive read a few reviews that say the lp400 has a very on/off power delivery, with absolutely nothing at all under 3000 and then just after this point suddenly all the power comes in with a bang and the car rockets forward making it very difficult to drive in traffic etc. Is this the case ? Is your like this? ii. ive seen pics of the factory museum having 2 countach - the lp400 prototype and the very one made, an anniversary. have they got an example of a regular "spatted countach as well ? if not thats quite a glaring omission isnt it as this style was in production for the longest by far (probably the most common model too) iii. ive noted that the lp500s and the qv have front wheels/tyres that fill the arches far better than the lp400s - obviously this looks better from an aesthetic pov but is this due to a suspension change, a wheel width change or a combi of both ? after it was crash tested @ MIRA the lp500 was never taken away by the factory right. iv a. So what happened to it ? iv b. did it have an engine in it ? vi c. is there any chance whatsoever that the remains of this important car are extant and just rotting away somewhere waiting to be discovered ? v. youve said that the spatted cars benefit from the wing at very high speeds (even if it does reduce ultimate velocity) as without it the cars have a tendency to move about a lot, but how stable are the lp400's at similary high speeds ? vi. joe you said about the parallel link suspension on the S onwards. was this just on the rear, or did the fronts have it too (or other revisions ?) last one for now. vii. the cannonball run car is well known as being 1121112 but what car/cars were used for cannoball run 2 ?
