Indy pace car replica. But, as Rocky said to Bullwinkle - you know, there is something about those two that looks awfully familiar...
It's the replica that Chevy made, called Corvette - available at any Chevy dealer. Resale value no so goood...
Why do people do this? Either you're proud to own a Corvette or you're not. If not, don't buy one. If you are, then don't put the badges of a competing sports car on it. If someone wants a custom looking car, great, go ahead and customize it. Even if you want the customized look of fender shields, go ahead and design some custom fender shields - just put a Corvette logo or Chevy bowtie logo on them, not the prancing horse. Also, what is the yellow in the middle of the wheels? I see the yellow brake calipers and the yellow center caps in the wheels, that's normal. But are the wheel mounting hubs painted yellow too?
That is just sad. I own 2 corvettes and it is sad to think that someone had the money to buy a C6 vette and chose to do this. For the cost of a C6 convertible, the owner could have had a decent selection of used Ferraris to pick from. It dosen't make any sense to me? W...T.....F.....!
That owner is screwed either way - he'll look like an a$$ to Ferrari owners, and he'll look like an a$$ to Corvette owners.
"Why do people do this? Either you're proud to own a Corvette or you're not. If not, don't buy one. If you are, then don't put the badges of a competing sports car on it." I like Corvettes...some of my friends drive Corvettes But are Ferraris realy competing with Corvettes? They sure are faster than my 308, but I think the competition stopped many years ago, like in the 60s. Not going into which is the better car, but they are different price points and different "feeling" when driving. Personally, I prefer Ferraris and there is no competition. Of course, I have Ferrari dreams and a Corvette budget, but I would go out on a limb and say Ferraris and Corvettes are not competing. I doubt Ferrari feels any way threatened by Chevrolet...and I don't think Chevrolet is going after the Ferrari market. Just my $0.02... Now back to the topic of the thread...if the owner likes it, good for him...but as was said, the Ferrari crowd will think the guy is a tool, and so will the Corvette crowd. I am proud to own my 308 and if I had a Corvette I would be proud to own it too. This guy just alienated many groups: 1) Ferrari owners; 2) Corvette owners; 3) Everyone with any taste! To each his own...I'm glad I never put those Ferrari stickers on my Camry
