I was looking into this too. The problem is that all the pop out screens I saw wanted to pop out and slide up. As you know this would hit the cover. I am still hoping to find a single din screen that will pop out and slide DOWN.
If you can find a guy like Hzemall.com who does custom stereo installs i think you will find that he can build a custom slide so that the screen extends far enough out (so that it clears the cover) before it pops up. aw.
The same guy that is doing THIS ! http://hzemall.com/our_gallery/installs/1988_ferrari_512TR/install_bumper.htm But now that I think about it, sliding down isn't such a good idea anyway. Would block A/C vents, etc. It may have to be custom. Or another idea would be to modify the way the cover is attached.
