I spotted NSW heritage #26 this morning on an early model merc. Following that were a number of cars with 4 digit plates that made me burn with desire

 

saw VIC 97 on a Black 997 Turbo yesterday.

Would the number plate worth more than the car?

For many years in the 1960s through to the 1970s this platewas on a 1930's Rolls Royce Phantom2 owned by a stock broker the late Mr Ian Bennett,whom died in his 50s in the mid 1970's.Of interest when in his 40s he married a good looking blonde whom was in her 20's,from memory her name was Susie and she had worked for him.

I dont know how much you paid for it, but I am sure they fetch a pretty penny. I love the 'Q' plates we have here and would love to collect them too, but I dont have that sort of money laying around. Q is a lucky boy to have so many in his greasy little mitts.

that it was once on one of the most beautiful cars of all time a Phantom 2 with a 3 postion drophead sedanca body by Gurney-Nutting(they did the bodies on Sir Malcolm Campbell's Bluebirds)A US Million $ car today if you could find one.
