What happens with a false start?

    I've only been following F1 since the beginning of this season, and it's painfully obvious how critical a clean start is. What happens if somebody crosses over the line before the lights go out? Is it assessed on a case-by-case basis with any number of results (i.e. drive-through penalty, black flag, etc)?

    There are sensors that track movement of the cars. If caught, you normally get a drive through or pitstop penalty.

    i think Fisi had the last false start last yr. he did let thru 2 drivers, but yea, the drive thru penalty still exists :)
