This might have been done before, but "hypothetically" say you had ~$300k to spend on a car and it must be a convertible. It won't be a daily driver so you want it to be an "extreme" type car. You are trading in a 360 Spider on this so F430 Spider isn't an option just for the sake of experiencing something different.

Which would you rather? Anything else to consider?

If it was the normal Murci then CGT. If LP640 then that :) I guess you meant normal though (not familiar with the prices..).

If the car is supposed to be "extreme", then I'd have to say the Carrera GT.

Given the reviews that car has gotten, I'd say it's almost as extreme as you can get considering it's often mentioned as one of the most difficult cars to properly control.

It really depends cause the LP640 roadster is hot but if you have plans on modifying one of them id go with the CGT, look at Gemballa did!

I voted for the CGT, I think you meant the 05 Murci and not the LP640?

Lambo for me too. I wouldn't really stress it, I'd say buy the one that you like at the moment. If it didn't work out, sell it in a month or so and buy the other one. That's what happens when you are rich. :)

love the looks of the Murci (and the V12) but the CGT wins it for me everytime with its superior dynamics etc.

In yrs to come the murci will be a classic, but the CGT will be a legend

Wow, after 60 votes it's 45% to 55%, that is very close compared to most polls on here that get very lop sided. I actually prefer the Lambo to the Porsche because I think it looks better, the name(mystique), and the doors of course (among other reasons). For price range, I meant the "regular" non-LP640 roadster because 99.999% of people don't know the difference and because they will depreciate a LOT less than the new LP640's for sale right now. (I just wish the taillights were easier to change out :( ).

I completely agree, and I'll take any model Murcie over the Carrera GT, particularly in the design/looks department :)

Yeah but leave the engineering to the Germans, I take the CGT. More rare and better exhaust note.

from what i've seen the reactions to the murci roadster are pretty much, "wow, that is nice lambo..." the reactions to the cgt are, "what the f- is that??? is that a race car?" Therefore I think the cgt is more visually shocking to the general public even though from the front it looks very much like a 911/boxter.

Would be nice to get a back to back driving comparison though.

The cgt does not have the looks of the murcie but the sound alone sells it flatout.

You haven't heard my Murcie with the MS Racing Stage II exhaust, no CGT on the planet can touch the sound of my 12 cylinder engine; ask anyone who's heard my car :)
