OK, so why can't they switch 5 employees to Sunday instead of Saturday? Who TF wants to go car shopping on Tuesday night when you guys close at 6pm? How can anyone get to the dealership on time to test drive, and make a deal? Its ridiculous......everyone has to go to the dealership on Saturdays because thats the only day they have free time, and then when you get there its packed with customers and you still end up waiting? Who has time to bring their car to the body shop/repair shop or for an oil change during the week? You dealers act like 1991 when Sunday shopping was outlawed in Ontario..those days are long gone...! Why can't you give the customers more options?
Can you tell me which dealers close at 6pm? A couple do, but 99% don't. We close at 8pm as do many many of my colleagues and neighbouring dealers. Many close at 9pm during the week actually. Now, what you are talking about is irrelevant to this particular site IMO. And this is simply becuase hi-end, classic and most luxury car buyers don't need to wonder about these types of things. Not my clients anyways. There is the internet, cars sitting on the lot, autotrader, detailled company website. When Monday comes they then meet me during lunch and chat. Many of my clients are not even in this damn Province! There is NO negative effect on customer service if you know what you are doing. I have always believed in A1 service and going out of my way. But Sundays....nah. NO NEED! If you are talking Honda Civic's and VW's then maybe you are right. I suggest emailling those auto malls and asking them
Vasco, I totally understand where you and your business stand, however my comments are directed to the average, everyday consumer. Not CEO's who can take a 3 hour lunch and 'chat' about a new BMW. I'm talking about the married man/woman with 3 kids, who is tight for time. Its difficult to even grocery shopping after work, how can someone spend 3 hours sitting in the managers office signing a lease/finance...etc on a new car? Sat/Sun seem the logical days to do this? You still didn't answer my question! Why are 95% of dealerships (new/used/luxury/North American) closed on Sundays when the rest of the retail malls and stores open for business?
I did answer you. You just don't like my answer. Ok i'll play along. You are talking the average buyer. Well, my very first day on the sales floor was at Chrysler *sigh*, Mazda, then onto VW, Audi, BMW etc, etc, etc. Never, ever had an issue nor lost a sale or even a complaint because the doors were closed on Sunday. If they found the doors locked on Sunday, their message would be left on the voicemail for us to call back Monday morning. You havent answered my question...which stores close at 6pm? None of the dozens I'm aware of that's for sure. When will the average family guy/gal buy other than Sunday? Easy, most of those average sales are done between 5-9pm during the week and on Saturday. Saturdays is a very busy day everywhere. mainly with tire kickers.....I can only imagine Sundays
Rick, why did you delete the win the Testarossa thread? I think you are just jelous your Testa doesnt have "Racing take off" wheels.
Because they can, its a conspiracy i tell ya. they could if they wanted too...All retail stores are opne for very long hours...car dealerships should as well...its a retail business. I would suspect Luca, that the time will soon come that they will be open on Sundays, once competition becomes more difficult, we should see it...if it doesnt happen, oh well...se la vie
Its spam, no governemnt license number attached, a new member looking to get money from people on this site to buy $100 tickets....not cool in my book. I would first have James Simpson post a car for sale, than some raffle that may, or maynot exsist.
Agreed. But Vasco, whats wrong with 'tire kickers'? Just getting people in the store is a great start. You guys know alot more than I do about the car industry, and its pretty obvious that everyone has their preferred places to buy a car. (Loyalty, convienence, price). So why not offer Sunday service? I think people would be very happy and encouraged to buy a car (or even Test Drive) if its on Sunday, of course IMHO.
Nothing wrong with tire kickers. Just need a break from them from time to time and Sundays is a good day to do that You are probably right. But the way I want to run my business and the type of clients I like to have and continue to have....being open on a Sunday is NOT on the agenda. However, personal service is not a problem. This is another story. I would be happy to show a car to a client on Sunday. But opening retail doors and waiting for people to walk in on a Sunday aint for me. Just my .02.
mostly "scott free" with an appeal coming up on the few relatively minor charges they found him guilty on. Maybe he'll be serving a few days in jail as well - wonder if he'll get staff to deliver mail instead of fellow prisoners and his own cordless phone? lol...
He's guilty of a few charges out of a dozen or so. I still say he'll only be asked to pay a big fine and serve very little time in jail if any. That's my prediction. Oh and for the record. I'd sooo hit his daughter Alana Black!!!
that is so wrong on so many levels, i dont even know what to tell ya. both of them though look like they need a bowl of purina.
And you didn't even drop by to say hello! Did you edit me post again... Adventure? This is Big Red we are talking about, what little sense of adventure he may have had left him long before his........ . . . . . . . . HAIR! Bwhahahaha (runs!) I'm only kidding, it's been a bit quiet around here so I figured I'd stir the pot a little
No i didnt edit your post. I was at the Mandarin Garden. Cool place. Is it new? Then we crashed the Marriot down the road. Fun times! Other than that I HOPE I never go to Brampton again
So it was Rick again! As for the Mandarin, that place is a few years old - kick ass joint; although their food isn't exactly specializing in traditional Chinese/Mandarin food
We were at the hall and not restaurant . It's very nice. And the food was obviously catered for this Portuguese wedding....no chinese food . I assume this was built by the same Mandarin buffet chain?
Something about sex with muts doesnt appeal to me, unlike you Then again, i am married, so if im gonna get caught for doing something like this, i wanna go down in flames with a 25 yr old Hottie !!! Not this stuff you look at ... And Anu....shudda up !
