I raced a 360 Challenge at Sepang 3 weeks ago. And I posted some video links in the Asia region. Here they are again for those of you who don't check the Asia threads.

BTW, padon my profanity at end of the first clip. I was less than calm after being punted into a spin by the porker behind me.

And here are a couple of videos of the Formula Renault I also raced that weekend at Sepang.

What spec is the 360 challenge?

Is it stock, or are there "GT" modifications?

    Aero?
    Susp?
    Engine?

I've raced the track on my computer, very cool layout.

Its tough to find tracks like that in the states, but there are a couple that come close.

The 360 Challenge car is not a street legal car. It is built for the Ferrari Challenge Series as a racecar. It falls into spec with some other series GT 2 class.

We have a 355ch and 360 challenge, I know what it is :)

I was asking what HIS spec was, as other 360's in the video have aero, and I imagine are not stock 360ch sealed motors.

Also, are they using the spec pirelli's or maybe michelins?

I'm designing an Ohlins suspension for the 360ch this winter, already have the cad and parts spec'd, just need to finalie valving dynamics and spring rates. I also asked him because I was curious if he was running spec susp or something else.

    Thanks though ;)

We can choose between Pirelli or Michelin slicks in Carrera Cup sizes (ie. 10mm wider front & rear).

OEM suspension is a little too soft for my driving style.

Have you guys found that running heavier front springs vs rear springs really help 360's?

I raced Formula cars long before I raced the 360C, so I'm used to super stiff suspension and find it to be the faster setup. It makes the car feel lighter with quicker turn in and less roll in the fast transitions.

That along with some geometry and anti-roll bar changes make the cars handle much better.

u had better brakes, and braked later than the Pcars. i also noticed u took totally different lines in tight corners compared to the Pcars. great overtaking too!

Surprised that the F braked better and was faster in the corners than the Pcars while the Pcars pulled away in the straights !

Very nice driving . Thanks !!

We did a lot of testing with different brakes and we are very happy with what we have now.

I think our different lines are due to both driving style and car setup.

    Thanks for the compliment.

Two of the Porkers have 3.9 liter 480hp engines and better gear ratios as well. So it's impossible to keep up with them on the straights. 360C never gets up to 6th at Sepang. In the twisties Ferrari is definitely faster.

Do you have the wider GT suspension, or is still 360ch based suspension, just mounts modified for geometry and alignment?

From what I have seen, the Michelins on the car is the fastest setup, but it depends on the suspension and if nits setup for them.

Any pictures of your car? Exterior? Suspension?

No, we do not have the wider GT front track. It would cost too much and we would have to change the front fenders too.

Michelins are supposedly faster and seem to require more camber, but we suspect at very high track temperatures they may not fair so well. For now we are sticking with the Pirellis.

Here are 2 pictures of my car.

There are some more in the Asia region thread. I'm #16.

Sorry no pictures of the suspension. Got to keep some secrets from my competitors. :D

Sorry no pics from in car while on track. Don't know how that can be done effectively.

Ah ok, so the narrow body GT front bumper/splitter and the Stradale diffuser.

Didn't think you'd post chassis pictures, but it was worth a shot :)

I tried Dunlops 2 weeks ago on the 360Ch, they were not bad, but the car was setup for pirelli's and the dunlops like a different alignment.

I'll have dunlops to try back to back with pirelli's at limerock this weekend, so we'll see how they do.

Ha, ha, ha, just do what I do. Walk by other people's pit and take a picture from a distance. This one I took 2 years ago when FIA GT cars were in town.
