    welcome Elijah,

trading is a constant battle between fear and greed. master that.

live by by the motto of one of my staff, may be offensive, buy hey....u r yr own man....."money is my god, bank is my church"

set a target date to own one. Jon suggestion is good...buy a die cast model....every 100k u make u upgrade fm 1:43 to 1:32 to 1:24 to 1:18 and by now u wld have set aside 400k....when u hit 500k, buy 1:1...used also can, new also can....but u look at yrself in the mirror and say u did it.

SAVE N INVEST...esp when young. i refused to buy a car, let alone a ferrari, until i make my first mil. i had one stage, post CPF, a savings rate of 90% n i invest nearly every cent of it. i remember one friday nite, i came back home, logged into my computer and mark to market all my investment....realised i crossed the 1m mark by 30k....next day i bot a 8yr old volvo fr 28k(actually ended up making 1k fr the car...becoz COE went up, but since then....always lose money on cars). trust me, the satisfaction is better then sex.

SPEND income n interest n dividends, NEVER spend yr principal.

other than that.....remember, GRAP THE OPPORTUNITY WHEN IT ARRIVES.......every generation has got one, max two chances of setting one up fr life...look at this property boom and asset inflation, ride the curve well, try to achieve more early, dun delay....before u know it, u have wife n kids, and balls would shrink n i am a firm believer in direct correlation size of balls/opportunity grap.

all above only relevant if you are NOT born with silver, golden, platinum spoon in yr mouth.

    Kevin

Leang, Larini just confirmed that the exhausts for 06/07' coupes and spyders are different in design internally. Althought the mountings are the same and are interchangeable. There are some similar characteristics but should sound different from each other. The spyder sound is higher pitch while the coupe is slightly more bassy.

Exhaust design looks like rocket science to me, there's so much debate about it. Back pressure, straight thru, titanium etc etc some said you need back press. some said no. Problem is they cost so much & needs running-in like speakers, headache.

I believe the tuning of the cars are also different. SE is different from the standard coupe and the spyder...so it will naturally sound different.
I think Larini makes excellent exhaust system. I spoke with Neil (Larini)while I was in London last week. He was very exhaustive (no pun intended) in his explainations and logic.

I am a fan of Larini now.

How is SE different from the standard 06 coupes? As far as I know, only the suspension, suede steering, engine cover and paint scheme are different. Engine tuning and exhaust system is exactly the same.

I could be wrong but according to Rob there is a difference. I know that for sure coz Rob was going to do my ECU then realized it was different...and didn't have the software for it. He did an 07 Nera and it was different. So he couldnt do it for me.

Yes, I'm waiting to sample Sam's sports cats as well.

Is the tuning of the SE different from the standard post 06 Gs? Thought they're all the same except loaded with specs. oops realised Phil asked the same Q.
But the Nera is a later car by 1yr? I see Lambo is maximising their brand by doing a lot of SEs for different market, there was one in blue with Italian flag on the roof & full alcantara + carbon interior hawking for Euro 200K+ double the usual cars.

Reminds me of Panerai but don't know about the re-sale part though.

    Thats what I thought too...
Actually, I was told by ES that 06 and 07 cars are same. But was told now that there is a diff. Maybe all 06 cars are the same. But there is a diff between 06 and 07 Gs. So i have been told by the tuner. Who am I to say anything else...I have not seen the codes. :)

From my conversations with our workshop. They don't know much with what they're dealing with. Not to undermine them, maybe they got too much work but I think the factory is not giving much information in the first place or we're questioning too much.

Not many owners like to temper with the tuning or modding them.

I'm now thinking of changing to slightly harder springs. When a car feels too soft, do you change the shocks or the spring rates?
