Just to answer your question even though it will be completely different next week.

I would go DB9, i just love the look of them, I dont know what 612s are going for but they seem to be very rare compared to a DB9. I will give you my Phantom vs. Maybach, G55 vs. Cayenne Turbo, 997 vs. R8 etc when you ask for it...excuse me when your dad asks for it.

Jeez, this kid............... On another note though the 612 looks bloated and ugly.

Come on guys, we all have these problems....

My dad wants to buy an Airbus A880 (yeah, it's spelled correctly, it's a project only for him, flying at Mach 50, with 90000 sqft of space including an olympic OUTDOOR swimming pool, convenient when you fly at 8800000000 (hence the name) ft. from the ground, and everything even the wheels is burr walnut or uranium (platinum is too cheap he got said), but he got recently tempted by a new mega yacht that is about the size of the atlantic ocean, but it still has a black hole (no, not THAT one) for propulsion, because you can also use to fly to the moon overnight.
On the other hand, maybe a Yugo wouldn't be that bad either uh, at least it has -sometimes- four wheels and drives (not that often though), and best of the best, it exists ?

Now to answer your question, 612 is a very fine drive that looks a bit odd but has more rear room than a Conti GT. DB9 on the other hand has about as much rear room as you have odds ever seating in the car :D. Performance-wise they're +/- even, but the DB9 can be had with a proper slushbox or with manual tranny, while the 612 has no proper automatic option.
I'd take a DB9 with the sportspack option. But who cares, take both posters, i'll offer you them :)

Vik, here is a suggestion. When you start these threads, just say you want to know the comparison between the two cars. Leave out the dad part.

So your post should read like:

" whats your take on this? I really have no idea on which one is better. which one has more problems and what are they? experience? etc...."

I cant tell you how much i missed the forums since i was gone. and how much i missed the guys who took my advice seriously. thank you all for the support.

Ferrari Chat is usually, and pleasently free from such posing, and ******bagery. PLEASE, stop posting every thought that blurts into your head that usually starts with

    1. "My dad"
    2. "Which is better"

    It is utterly classless.

Why is your father asking you for advice concerning two cars you know nothing about? Are you in the car Biz? Do you even have a drivers license? That makes no sense to me.
