What kills me here is I just do not understand the anger and tone with the fact that cars are going to "auction"... First off, as far as MY cars...they are JUST THAT...MY CARS!! I can do what I want with them...I take a chance at "auction" SO WHAT...that is my business...maybe they sell for $25K oh well thats the way the ball bounces...thats a risk I am willing to take and I can becuase they are MY CARS and MY MONEY... The only logical reason I can come up with is like Steve says...and sorry BUT it makes sense... If My Miura "S" or My LP400, or Steves, or any of these cars DONT even get close to the recent selling figures....yes it is a LOUD affirmation from the public that they have been "over priced" and or "manipulated" into their current value..of course I understand the condition of the car will play a big factor in pricing...BUT to what extent...a 9.5 Miura SV sold for $775K...now a 8.5 Miura SV is only going at auction for $500K...big diff.. LP 400 cars selling at $445K for the so called "perfect" car and a not so perfect car is only worth $150K?? DD Countach cars trading for $150K and above, having been offered for that amount and now at auction only worth $25K?? I for one truly believe a Auction is the BEST pulse of what the cars are bringing, in various conditions. We know there will be a Pretty darn near perfect SV...lets see what happens..as well as an S and 3 LP 400 cars and 2 DD cars and 3 S-1 CT cars...if all goes good I hope to have talked at least 5 others into bringing their cars in..I HOPE we get 20 LAMBOS on the block..better selection, better for the buyer AND the true pricing will come out.. As of this date I only know of 3 cars that NOW are at "No Reserve" one recently added to my two... SO WHO CARES, if its not your car and your money it does not matter... My suggestion is to come, inspect and look all you want...thats why they are there early, to inspect, to see documents, to talk to owners..get all the info you can, have "experts" look it over...then on Friday and Saturday nite...come with your check book and speak your piece!! Either way, sell low, sell high, the TRUE winner will be the BUYER as long as he is happy with his purchase...not us "bickering" brokers and dealers LOL So lets just have fun, BACK the auction house and watch what happens.

It turns out I also have the Automobili Lamborghini SpA factory build sheet for 1120204 dated July the 17th 1976 which reveals some very interesting details too. Its always a surprise to review these original documents! Original colors, disposition (right or left drive), date delivered, first owner etc are all noted. I think factory Build Sheets and the original Bill of Sale are the most important docs a classic car can come with. Joe www.joesackey.com

Joe, if this info is likely to affect the price of the car then surely as the "countach historian" (and whether steve or roy like it you are THE man when it comes to the miura or countach) isnt it your moral duty to share it with the world ? otherwise you could unbeknowingly allow someone to buy something they otherwise would not or at least wouldnt bid so high on.
