    Hay all I have a questions about the SE30 Diablo’s. anyway here goes, there is a guy here on Guam with a purple Diablo. I have talked to him several times and is a wonderful guy, he is even willing to let me use the car for a photoshoot so I should have some pictures of the car when we can work out a date that works for us both. Anyway he claims the car is an SE30, but I don’t think it is. I know the SE30 had the 30th anniversary badge on the rear of the car and this car does not. Now my question is what other places on the car had the 30th anniversary badge? Door sills if I remember correctly, any others?

    I believe they also had the specail windows, dunno what they are called, but they have the tiny openings in the front of them

    Guam is such a small place, where don’t mean much. He is a dentist at DSI in Tamuning.

    Check the VIN of the car

    If it is a real SE30, the last part will be:

    RLA12xxx

    where xxx is the # of the car, 1-150

    Where to find the VIN? Open the driver's door, it is on the underside.

    Just tell your friend his car is a 1998 Diablo SV.
    I know that because his car's VIN is ZA9DU21B0WLA12991.
    It does have a Diablo SE30 side skirts and the SE30 purple color.
    But it is just a Diablo SV Monterey Edition.

    How do you know the car? I will check the vin next time I see it. Do you have more history of the car?


    Oh and whammo! That’s another thing it does not have the SE30 wheels or normal Diablo wheels for that matter. It has the SV style engine cover but does not have the SV stitching on the seats, it also has the SE30 style slatted side vents.

    Check the rims.


    One rear wheel, is $3,800 from Lamborghini. I assume most SE 30 owners, have at least kept the original rims.


    Their is also a unique to the SE 30, suspension adjustment switch, that is located next to the shifter.

    The rims are not SE30 rims nor are they traditional Diablo rims. The thing about the car is that I’m sure it’s an SV, now I have said nothing to the owner about that. He claims it’s an SE30 and I don’t think he is lying, I just think he was told it was an SE30 by the seller and he does not know different.

    I wonder if I should tell him? I mean if it was you would you want someone setting you strait about what kind of car you have?

    How do you know that?

    I'll be honest with you, i think this guy knows what he has. I dont think the dealer would lie either, its not worth it. Lie about service and condition but not the fricken model!!!

    Reason why is I spent a year growing up in guam. Love the Island. always nice to hear from a local to the island. I heard its changed quite a bit over the years....

    Lamborghini badge on the front bumper rather than on the bonnet is also a SE30 thing.

    Its a wonderful place to be. If only I had less responsibilities in life... sigh... I would love to retire there. A slower pace and more relaxing lifestyle... weather is a bit hot sometimes though.. but nothing the beach cant fix :)

    I suppose one way to look at it is if it was an SE30 then he wouldnt have changed it.

    If it was a standard or even an SV, he may have.

    I dont think it is if it has not got SE30 wheels etc
