Sorry have been busy and no time to catch up the thread. Yes it is 07' specs and was told the factory upgrade the software all the time. So it is getting smarter and harder for aftermarket exhaust to learn the program. Apparently, both Gerald and my car have CEL when pushed hard but no issue for the 06' SE (or maybe you weren't driving hard enough ). However the CEL does not affect the performance and will reset on it's own after a cycle. Still talking to Neil to resolve this issue.
handsome, where you off to tonight? So sad I am doing the jap rice burner alone. I am actually having so much fun doing research and soucing for parts etc. Just got COE today and looks like it is on schedule..
I hungry. Who wants to buy me dinner So you guys want makan first then drive? I was on my way back from Toh Guan & took a leisurely drive back by West Coast highway but two bl**dy Jazz & a mini Hyundai pricks are just PITA. Tailgated me so tight that I couldn't breathe & when I gave them space to overtake they refused then I took it up & left them chasing furiously. I just don't understand these people. I get tailgated almost every other day, can't they just respect the speed limit here or do they like to smell exhaust?
This is it, just got to do this once in my life and infact I am enjoying every moment sourcing for parts and reading up catalogues etc. I got the COE at 17.6k while the reserved price was 18k. Thanks to the car rental company whom I got the rental WRX and got me interested. I really miss driving a stick and this is the best way to enjoy it without burning a big hole in the pocket. No ****! I was reading a lot of ricer magazines just now (went to detint my windscreen) & I'm feeling it all over again on a Legacy STI tuned in pearl white & then saw another DAMB bodykitted that looked like an RS6 avant! Bear in mind that MotorImage is very sensitive to mods & they'll revoke your ENTIRE warranty on any minor mod. But I still need a 7 seater. So it's either an Estima V6 3.5 280Bhp or Alphard 2.4 Hybrid. Go green! COE's gone up but still pale from my days
Yo anyone interested in CF parts for your Gallardo? There's a set of used Dymag wheels for USD$8K & a Miura corsa lower rear valence @ US$3k Both in immaculate condition. Heard owner has an F1Mc & selling his G for something seriously fast. Also selling GruppeM intake, Kreisegg exhaust & some other goodies.
Not to worry I bought S$8k worth of STI parts from them so should be ok. In fact I ordered the car in Aspen white, now looking for 18"s in dark gun metal or bronze alloys to go with it, below are the 3 options after much research. Let me know what you poll for. 1. OZ racing - Ultraleggera. 2. Volk racing - RE030 3. WedsSport - SA-070 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
But yours a 4.0? How's the power/torque delivery on the hybrid? Alphard has to be indent, 2 months & new facelift S$126K. But didn't know it's a 4WD. Make it black with big glossy wheels hehee. But it looks like one of those kid's minibus from the rear....
I think the OZ looks fierce. Volk hmmm may look interesting when it spins. #3 looks common. Bronze has That Look. You got the STI? What's it now? I saw my neighbour has the new 2.5 Legacy estate Prodrive version from last year's motorshow. Loaded car with big Brembos, was S$128K? Very nice Bet you're on the local Subaru forum by now
The torque is awesome... it pulls away like the RRS Supercharge. Its about 6.9 secs 0-100kmh. Basically its a golf cart at lower speeds.
I don't know man, the Alphard is over 2 tons on 2.4.... Yours is like 1.7? with a 4.0. But is it really good on fuel?
