In your opinion does this LM have white painted borrani wheels?

I recently re-read Mark Donahue's autobiography "The Unfair Advantage" where he states that that was his first big break as a racing driver. He credits Walt Hangsen with getting him that break and starting Mark on his way. He was understandably very nervous. Great photo.

Again Le Mans, this time in 1964. Gerald LANGLOIS van OPHEM and Pierre DUMAY drove #5843 to a disappointing 16th place. Pierre DUMAY dented the front. Car was entered by Ecurie Francorchamps.

    Hi Giotto,

Are you sure for Coppa Gallenga 1965 with start number 516 ? cause R33 writes this legend "Edoardo%20Lualdi%201965-23-05-%236217" then it's Vezzano-Casina Reggio Emilia hillclimb # 572.

And Nino Vacarella legend by R33 "Coppa%20InterEuropa_%20Monza_Nino%20Vaccarella_1964_%235899" thus it would be Monza Coppa InterEuropa 64/09/06.

    I go away ...... Regards.

    p.s. Thanks R33

Sorry, I made the mistake... Yes, number 31 with Vaccarella was at the Coppa Intereuropa at Monza 1964.
I have a photo from an old magazine with Lualdi at the Coppa Galenga 1965. Car has start number 516 and it seems to be the same LM but I think the serial #6217 is wrong. Maybe it's #6173... We have to be carefull with serial numbers because the history of many cars is not very clear.

Great photo of one of my hero Mark's rides. This was a very handsome car and a notable exception to "All Ferraris should be red."

Oops ! Oops! Sorry for them - the website -.

OK at Mans 1967 before the race but it's absolutely not one Ferrari 330 P4 !

    In 1966 it's 330 P3 barchetta and for 1967, at Le Mans, it's 330 P3/P4 barchetta.

    Final point.

    Picky :).

    Actually in 1967 0846 was a 330 P3/4.

0846 was a Spyder throughout it's factory racing history.

In 1966 it was a P3. In December 66 it was modified by Ferrari to a P 3/4.

It then finished 1 OA at the 24 of Daytona in 67. This is a photo of P 3/4 0846 pre Le Mans 67. (Note number 20)

When I bought 412P 0854, 0854 was erroneously bodied with 0858's spyder tail. With 0854 I also acquired 0854's original coupe tail. I am in the process of restoring 0854 to her proper configuration using her original coupe tail.

Yes Jim I knew that, should have put the spyder bit in. I was really just having a "play" with the nit picking and then calling 0846 a P3/P4 instead of P 3/4... I should have known better :D :D

I've been caught red handed making another mistake

    Thanks Napolis, PSk.

The problem ? these are the books (not serious) which wrote manies “stupidities” :(.

"stupidities" which one reads in forum Internet (No name).

Juste to write what is the truth; it's not important to write P3/4 or P3/P4, which is important it's what there was in the engine.

The bride is beautiful in her dress! What is there below? excuse me

    Steve,

Isn't this the same decal as on the Ferrari? The car is one of the TVR Granturas from Sebring 1963. Mark's #51 had it as did the #53, all from the same team. I wonder if it could have been something unique to that race.

I wonder if the bardahl ferrari would have had better luck if it had been developed more. The conversion to running on Methanol and running at constant speeds must have been a great mismatch to the original cams and cooling systems of the Ferrari motor.
