I stumbled on an amazing book this week & bought it..... titled "The complete guide to the Ferrari 308 series" at a rare book store. (paid $75 and worth it)
Anyone ever seen it before? published in England in 1982 author wallace wyss....mint condition.
there are some amazing photos of "1 offs", prototypes, tooling, assembly line, Dinos, GT4's, Engine building, TONS of technical info, history, production, opinion, test drives...etc...etc....etc.......
Example: Ever see a photo of the Ferrari "308 GT Rainbow"? this was Bertones attempt at the 308, when they heard the deal was going to go to PininFarina... it's cool...but thank god PininFarina got it! Chassis # 12788, code name "Rainbow"
cool stuff....if you ever wanted to know "everything" !

I purchased that book over twenty years ago, when the idea of owning a Ferrari was nothing more than a fantasy. Glad I kept it all these years!

Here's a brief mention of it with a couple more pictures on the Bertone website.

I picked one up on eBay several years ago. It is indeed a great book - a then-contemporary perspective on the 308 series when it was new. Lots of great photos that I have not seen outside of the book.
