A Respected well known contributor to a UK Car Mag was taking people round a wet Silverstone for Charity and this happened (thankfully I believe no-one was hurt) -

:( Makes me sick too my stomach. Good thing no one was hurt, and I do respect him doing it for a charity event, but it seems every month another million dollar (only 400 and decreasing) enzo is crashed. Atleast it's not too beat up.

    Was that really called for?

it is after all just a car...

Trust me im a HUGE car nut, but it is just a car.

it also looks to be fixable.

cars are designed to be driven and accidents do happen.
    besides it looks easily repairable.

im more interested in the name of who did it - all this "well known" bit wears a bit thin when the names arent mentioned

I think his name is Paul Bayley ? ( He contributes to EVO mag, think Yellow CGT , Red Enzo ( duh ! ) and he was going to buy a Veyron ..) His Enzo is the one often tested by EVO ( Veyron vs CGT VS Zonda Vs Enzo ).

But it is just a car, and I have no problem with this one being wrecked as it was on a track and not some idiot pulling 180 on a public road. The damage doesn't look too bad, and it seems as if nobody was hurt.

Didn't that American comedian stuff his Producers Enzo on a track?

Not as bad as others that have been re-designed

Cars are meant to be driven, Ferrari’s are especially meant to be driven, Ferrari’s are meant to be tracked, Super Ferrari’s are especially meant to be tracked, car’s are meant to be driven hard on the track, Ferrari’s are especially meant to be driven hard on the track. I think it’s safe to say a bug stained nose cracked in Enzo is a much more proper or “prettier” then one in a garage that is a Platinum car with 50 miles on it. A more appropriate response is “Nice job pushing it on the track man, really glad no one got hurt and the car’s fixable.”

Better than seeing some idiot with more money than driving talent stuff one into a telephone pole. Kudos to him for using the car as designed AND doing it for a good cause.

And most of those people with the "die" and "got my blood pressure rising" etc. comments are NON-owners and perhaps have NEVER driven a Ferrari.

yeah man, I dont own one, but chill out, its not like its a personal insult to you if someone calls it a car... and it is but whatevs I am glad every is ok. That will be road ready in a month easy fix, all you have to think about is the burnt enzo that was literally little pieces that has been "fixed" itll be fine, dont get so upset guys... at least these ones are being driven right?

This is what happens when cars get used. Id rather see it wrecked than sitting in a garage somewhere never getting used. And to my knowledge all of the wrecked Enzo's have been repaired.

all of the wrecked Enzos only make the intact ones more valuable. cheers should be erupting. the collector market rewards rarity.

and if you can afford an Enzo, you can afford to wreck it.

being that nobody was hurt, i see no sympathetic response to the wrecked car of much use. even the Enzo that was split in half wasn't an accident that really hurt anybody, as unbelievable as that is.

was that car fixed? the one split in two?

That car recovery method looks a little shaky to me. Wouldn't those straps scratch the body work. Before anyone jumps in and says what does it matter, look at the front, my point is that would just increase the damage no ?
