Where is this "official" news coming from? dealers? I see nothing on Ferrari's web site?
" I wonder what the seat cushion material is like, as it looks like some sort of a mesh, probably will be a cool material to sit on that might vent better." Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car has implications for the replacement of the 430. We all have assumed that as of Sept. 2008 the 430 could not be sold in the US. Thus, many of us assumed that the replacement would be introduced at that time. However, would Ferrari introduce a new model within months of introducing the Scuderia? If so, will the replacement have better performance parameters? If not, then the 430 replacement performance will not be lighter like we have been lead to believe and it probably will have 550hp. This will not make the 430 replacement competitive in the ensuing years.
The mats do not extend under the seat but rest in the footwell and are fastened with torque screws on all four corners. Odd that your missing these as they are specific to the CS however, you can easily order another set from our sponsor Daniel at...http://www.ricambiamerica.com
Hopefully this means the CS prices are going down.... TDF or Titanium stradale ... come (in a few years time) to Papa. I still think the CS looks better but the 430 Scuderia should be undoubtedly quicker.
I messed up guys, i posted the link that was up there on another forum that i am on. This allowed everyone over there to be able to get into the ferrariowners site via the link. I logged out of the account that it was signing me into and yanked the link. I just wanted to say sorry about and it won't happen again.
Thank you for that P4/5 image of the seats...I had not been paying attention to the details of that special car. I have heard over and over again that Ferrari is working on extending the F430 beyond the the current limit in the US. Given that Ferrari commissioned JD Powers to do a 2 year study what their US customers want in the future F430 replacement and competing vehicles, I would speculate that they are intending on keeping the F430 for 2 more years and have a new car in 2010. Also, at the Ferrari 60 years thing, they talked about the future of Ferrari is not necessary to add more power but "more" lighter...and seeing the 599 and now the 430 Scuderia...it would seem that adding lightness is in the plans for future Ferrari. I for 1 are damn happy about it. Light is good.
i just got my mats reinforced around the holes so the rubber didn't split . works perfect and looks ex factory . 430 SCUD is a killer car , i want one
Because unlike our American companies, the Germans and the Italians don't need raw power to prove a point. Excellent! Don't forget the 330 P4! Let's wait until it's actually released, shall we?
my figures indicate a price premium of about 90k AUD over a standard F1 430 coupe . so with the extra carbon goodies and everthing else , i think it's pretty good .
I meant paying $100k USD over the MSRP. In the US 430 spiders are still getting $75k -90K over MSRP. 599's are getting $150k over MSRP I am scared to see what a low production car in such demand as this will cost?
Excuse my ignorance, I'm quite new to the Ferrari world, but how is this car different from the 430 Challenge?
never really pay over sticker in australia , maybe the odd one or two , but it's rare . normally the ar5e falls out of the price pretty quick here
