I was looking for a silver 365 GT4/BB with white parking lights and look what the cat dragged in. That's THE Boxer (IMHO). I was ready to join the Boxer brigade a few months ago but I just can't do it now. Kid #2 is on the way and he needs a healthy 529 more than I need a second Ferrari!

Someone please buy this and take care of it for a few more years!

At the current exchange rate, it is closer to $220K USD. Serious car. Serious money.

I just checked out the later Boxers (512BB & BBi) that are for sale on Anamera too.

    Here's a 1984 for $200K+

as I am very interested in owning a 365BB one day, I was forwarded this yesterday with some additional info: it is fitted with "modern" suspension, and the original is included. I see in the add it shows a rollbar. Don't know if something is lost in translation. I wish it were a '75 (helps here in CA), but I wonder what the costs to bring it over are. Price is up there, but I am not sure it is out of line.

I just bought the blue/black 1974 365 BB that was sold at Amelia island last March by RM Auctions. If the best 365 Boxers are really worth $200K + than I am going to be happy with my purchase. There are so few that change hands that value may be tuff to determine.

Wow Geno. First - and of course this is obvious since we're all in the same barchetta here - you're a coo-coo person. Secondly, you've chosen to display your illness in a very attractive way.

THAT CAR is just fine as they get. I got kinda huffy with the restorer of that car for focusing too much on it while I wanted him to give me huge undivided blocks of time discussing the 'other' black (now blue) carb Boxer he had. BUT NOOOOOO, he was making 'your' car the stellar example it is. So I went elsewhere, but well done Geno, well done.

Thirdly, I think the Boxer values are doing what we all kinda poked around and hoped for. But 'we' don't control any of this; it's a confluence of things that is right for the times. In a separate post, I hope you'll catch us up on the winged warrior (sorry) that may have had them clipped by now.

Funny, in a way I hope these cars don't get relegated to sculpture status due to their climbing values. I think fondly of the dude who drove 'your' black BBi to the Atlanta event, or to Drew Altemarra who did the same thing from WAY farther away, or to Newman searching for a way to keep his radiators clear of whatever Canadian mondo bugs were eating the front of his car on dark windy northern roads.

I hope your 'new' blue car gets a little excercise, or maybe that's why you own two: a 'driver' and a showpiece.

With good fortune, the silver 365 will see the light of day for many other fans to recognize the real value of these cars.

Adams, I will be adding miles to the OD as soon as the blue car gets here. I look forward to driving both cars, as they are very different. The winged car is winged no more. Still don't know what the plan is with that car. Gene

Congrats on the new child - best wished for good health and not too many midnight feedings.

Mark N said you had TWO lifts in your garage, don't you really think that a Boxer would be the correct addition? Since Boxers are proving to be WAY undervalued, you could rationalize it as an investment for the new child's college fund!

The other lift is spoken for. Lori has a little 914 that I'm going to get back on the road for her.

I really was going to pull the trigger on a Boxer. Now it is part of the longer term plan.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Cheers,

    Keith

Well spoken. In a small way, I hope they don't become too expensive to drive just yet. I'm having too much fun.

Thanks Mark, thanks Gary, it is a nice car. I am not a big fan of blue, but this car looks great in this particular (Ribot) blue and looks much better in person. The car actually was not restored by RPM. It was restored to a very high level back in the mid 90's by Mike Dunn in California. He is well known in the Ferrari world. It has held up very well through all these years. RPM has done an engine out service about a year ago. Just recently the car ran the New England 1000 Rally by the former owner and won! RPM is doing a few things to re-fresh the car. Repainting the wheels and putting on the correct tires, plating a few items in the engine bay and some other cosmetic things. I am looking forward in enjoying the car some time soon. It won't be ready in time for Monterey. Gene

Geno, I spoke to Mike Dunn before I bid on the car. call him if you havent already. He did a few engine tweaks, said it pulls 512's out of the turns at the track!

I had talked to the guy at RPM at length on this car 2 years ago, we discussed his repaint of it as I just painted my BB as well, and the difficulties of repainting BBs I recall he wanted to trade for my BB for this 365BB

I had a talk with Mike Dunn before purchasing the car. He gave me a detailed list of what he did to the car, specifically the engine rebuilt. He knows these cars well. Gene
