Phil30, juz my 2 cents worth here :

Do you intend to track the car hard? If so please choose the rims that will accommodate BBKs later to avoid headaches. The standard Brembos are not good enough for hard track work.

The usual pads/lines/fluids/slotted discs will help but for a limited time 5~6 laps before fade sets in. Also do the brake cooling ducts.

Last point, i think 17" rims will give you a wider range of tyres (that are in stock) to choose from :)

    Enjoy the new car!

Thanks Ian, I did consider that thus going for those with an offset of at least 42 to 48mm.

I am waiting for the 6 pot brembos BBK and they should arrive soon.

Agree on the 17s but am just not used to seeing such small alloys.:)

You should be pretty safe with 8.0JJ x 40-44 offset. Of coz the rims design is a factor as well.

    Cheers!

Pricing not out till after Frankfurt show. its rumoured to be in the region of $900+. Yup! It will probably be priced just below the SL.

There will be alot of interest. Problem is that a 1 yr old 599 may be below that Scuderia price by then.

Heard that there is at least 15 orders in already.

Thank god the "shark nose" or whatever they were calling it has disappeared in lieu of a much better front-end profile. However, wheels don't below at all (GOLD???) and car overall looks way too busy. I am sure it will be a killer on the track though.

    Who's got their order in - :D

Makes sense on pricing. Assume with higher price point, minimal impact on current 430s.

Pricing may be similar to 599 but cars are very different L. You want a boy racer or a grand tourer?

The rims on the Scuderia reminds me of the Frangipani flower in the garden :)

Just saw a CS & that looks way neater in every corner, the lines flow better. I'm sure it'll be accorded a legendary status when it reaches "classic" status in 30yrs time. Hopefully I can buy one when it gets COEd.
