    couple of points

    i. how is he offering your car when it clearly states black/tan and yours is yellow ?

ii. have you seen the price, its not the price of an lp400

iii. finally - since when has s1 referred to an lp400 ????
every reference ive seen to s1 would be for an early lp400s (price fits better too)

No it sold privately in the Marseilles area in the South of France for not a penny over the value of a standard LP400S. The Khassoggi link did not help one bit (perhaps serving to form my opinion). Black, tan leather, silver Bravo wheels LP400S Series One, LHD, confidential sale for $135k US equivalent.

BTW, the red/white LP400S S1 deal for $244k US that I referenced in my private communication as going to the Netherlands actually fell apart a week later and the car did NOT sell at all. It still remains with its long-term German owner today.
This can be confirmed by F-Chatter Marcel B because he is the "Netherlands" party therin referenced and he did not complete the purchase (a problem with the deal relative to the car's condition upon final inspection and the excessive price asked by the seller).

    Now you know everything....

But the thing you left out is that car was a Periscope roof "S" not just any old S1.

The $135K price for an S1 sounds right in todays market, and I would pay $180K for the Periscope S1 "IF" the US dollar was where it should be.

Still looking for my white/white 80-81 lowbody :)

Yes that car was the Periscope roof S1. I think Marcel B would actually have gone as high as $200k US.

LOL LOL I think we entertain each other to much...

I dont recall anywhere were I said it made the car WORTH more because of the owner...? I was merly pointing out that YOU as well have brokered a car by this owner, (or at least said you had it), so it appears that it DID not harm the sale of the car due to its owner? As you eluded it would in other threads...or am I incorrect in this interpatation?

Boy just think how much better it would be if we were on the same side LOL

I still think you have great knowledge and serve a good service to many, just not happy with they way you appear to be less than receptive to anyone selling a Miura or LP that is not yours...IMO....

Please dont misconstue. I have consistently said that a Khassoggi link adds nothing in value. Not a penny IMO, and thats because of the TYPE of in-famous person he is.

Nobody has said it harms a sale though...

And by the way, yes, on the Countach thread on the morning you revealed the great discovery of the Khassoggi link you DID suggest that the car would thus "skyrocket" in value (please review your post).

    No hard feelings though :)

You are 100% correct...I just looked back and did say that...

"The nite of the auction....skyrocket....with all its histroy..."

LOL LOL So much for "salesman" hype....

This was the car that confirmed in my mind that in-famous past owners do not add value to Countachs... I will look for the VIN and images and post later.
