    Just to let you know, a GTO Evoluzione won the GT and racecar class at this year's "Salon Prive" at The Hurlingham Club, London.

    It was up against stiff competition from the Harrods McLaren F1 and a Porsche GT1, amongst others.

    I wish I had photos, but I was too busy polishing!

    I have a request to the owner if you could pass it on to him. I would love to see a pic of the GTO Evo with the pop up lights up ? ( if they are indeed pop up lights ? )

    The lights do indeed pop up, but it is a manual operation rather than a stalk-activated electric operation!!

    I shall try to arrange that photo for you!

    002 is, but I guess it's because it used a 308(21343) as a base and therefor it was road legal. For the other 2 I don't think they would be road legal, because they were build directly as they are today.

    It is manual but you can pop them up from the cockpit right ? You dont have to stop the car , walk out and pop them up ?? Or do you ?

    You have to stop, get out, open the whole front end, then unscrew a nob, push the lights up, and tighten the nob again!

    I hope you didn't mind me and Al posting those pics originally; It just happened to be at Carrs of Exeter on the same day the (now your) Mclaren F1 with the red door stripe was there, where Al and I we both went there on a 5 1/2 hour round trip to take some pics a week after it arrived in the UK. It rates as the best day (relating to Car Photography) I've ever had, just pipping the (many) shots I took of the Harrods F1 at Goodwood this year.

    You are a privilged man to have such a great stable at your disposal.
