Looking for opinions on what the market thinks its worth.

I know everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it but I am just looking for what the general consensus is.

    Thanks

What are you going to get?????

I think the value question would be better answered by the NSX community than the F-car community.

I always thought your car was the newer models. Car looks so awesome, if i were you i wouldn't sell it but it's your decision.

Ive posted in a few different forum just to get a feel for the market. Looking at either another car (360) or might take the speed to the water.

Armando, say it isn't so. :( Was it a "91" to start with? What ever the year it's a tough call, she's a beauty and a beast!

Sweet NSX. Especially now that the NSX is a certifed exotic car. :)

Just my opinion of course. I would say no more than 40 and 50 be the top end.

I was in the same spot with a couple of my MR2s. Lot's of carbon fiber and aluminum work brought the weight down to 2200lbs. and 450 to the wheels.

Problem was, as always, highly modded cars. I couldn't sell it. I can't even calculate how much wasted time was spent answering emails and giving rides. I put about 50 into it and was asking a very modest 28 for a VERY clean and reliable car. No takers.

In the end I decided to part out the bulk of the mods and get it somewhat into stock form. Racing coilovers from Tein were replaced by H & R's. The GT30R was replaced with a ct20b ceramic turbo from the japanese MR2. Titanium exhaust was replaced with Flowmasters. On and on... The stock parts can be had for pretty cheap and are really easy to find. You don't need to go to a dealer to get anything. I found everything for my 2 and given there are WAY more NSX's, you should not have any problems getting used off a board.

Believe it or not I think I sold all the modded parts for my car for over 30K. Funny how people want to 4K for a carbon Border Hood and 5K for carbon doors. Someone gave me almost 2K for Defi guages. Still I guess it is cheaper than trying to even find someone this stuff let alone the things you can only get in Japan (I actally got my Do-Luck sides when I was in Japan and brought them on the plane) Someone even bought my friggin built engine as a whole and 3SGTE rear clips can be had for about $3500.

In the end I sold the car for 14K and parts for 30K and this was after I paid for stock stuff. No you never make your money back, but if that's would I would do. You already have a pain in the ass time because you are running standalone. It is REAL tough to get an emissions sticker, if not impossible with that. I lived in MA and I moved to NH exactly because of this reason. So if you are going to sell the car as a whole your market is limited to only a few states with no emissions testing (this means visuals too). You can't just slap the stock computer on with your mods; I doubt it would start.

You could probably get 20-30 if not more for all your mods. Sell the car then for 30. Or just sell the turbo and standalone. You should be able to get 7 - 12 for all that. Then you have a tastefully modded car you can ask 35 - 40 for.

    That is my ramble...

LOL....... You will have A LOT of sh*t to eat if you get an F-car after all the times you made fun of the 'reliability' of NSX's!!!!!!! LOL..... I just can't believe you're making that move!!!!!

Regarding the water....although it's fun, boating is a whole new level of drama and expenses.........

BTW, good move if you go for the 360!! Although, after your NSX, I think you may be dissapointed in anything you may buy.............

    What year is it?

After owning a fast Nissan, and riding in a few highly modified JDM cars... I can honestly say you won't be disappointed with any Ferrari. Unless your main goal is speed, and not "the whole package" as Ferrari offers.

That my friend is only yours and my certification. The Lambo crowd thinks a lot different about that. Of course they are scared because Armando could eat those Audi Gallardos for lunch....
They could not say "I came first" arriving at the Ritz. Although their girlfriends probably still would say "yes, he sure did..." :D

Now that is funny! :) Red Bull came out my nose. :)

That much power in a car let alone in one of the best handling production cars in the world like the NSX; I could only imagine.

Curious though... what kind of meats do you run the in rear? I had a huge pain in the ass keeping on the road with 295's and 315's.

we run 295s in the rear and get about 12,000 miles under normal driving. If you run the car hard you can get that down to about 4000 miles :)

And you gave me a hard time when I sold mine.
If you're getting a 360 then you have my blessing.
A boat? I don't know, could be cool, but you'll use the car more often.

I agree but you can fit many more Bikini clad babes in a boat than you can in a 360.

You could also find that group of bikini babes and pick the best one and put her in your 360.

    Thanks.
